Many modern-day women that I meet are quiet quitting their marriages. What do I mean by that? There's no cheating, there's no abuse, there's no dramatic betrayal, but there's a slow erosion of connection. There's a subconscious giving up. There's this sense that marriages aren't really built to last, that you shouldn't expect too much. you should just be grateful for what you have or you're lucky that he's not cheating, addicted or abusive.

And this is a sort of resignation, a surrender to humrum, vanilla, boring marriages. The sense that yeah, everything's okay, but we're basically roommates and the romance is gone.
