0:03 She's really the one, the mummy with all the magic, but with all the things that she's done. Actor, host, chef, celebrity chef and all of that. I'm gonna add a new favorite which I have, which is now a tenement speaker. So I've seen the talk. You did a fabulous job.

Speaker 2

0:20 Thank you for this beautiful introduction. Mansi, always very kind, always been very, very supportive of me. So I want to thank you for that.

Speaker 1

0:27 What is an Indian mom's biggest mistake when it comes to feeding her kids?

Speaker 2

0:34 Indian mom's biggest mistake is that she wants to become Western. So I think that is something that you don't. I mean, Indian mom. I think first of all, the term is only incorrect. Why would you call yourself an Indian mom? You're a mom. Mom is a mom. As a mom, you know, and you adapt to the situation. When there is khichdi made at home, you make that khichdi look fantastic. And feed your child. When the child wants pasta, you put little spinach puree and cat puree and turn it into a fabulous, healthy pasta and be your child.

Speaker 2

1:03 So I think the mistake lies in, you know, thinking that you're doing something wrong. If you're confident of what you're doing and you know your child's pulse, you know what your child likes and play. My child loves cookies. So when you know the pulse of your child, like, I know that my son loves cookie, and how I have to feed him healthy is then up to my creativity and just the way I did it. That's exactly how you can do and cheat your child.

Speaker 1

1:28 Do you think concealing the food in your child's meal is okay?

Speaker 2

1:32 It's absolutely okay.

Speaker 1

1:33 Like, because a lot of nutritionists say that if, you know, like when you blend it in or you texture it in, then the child will never know what their tingly tastes like.

Speaker 2

1:41 When the child is about 13, 14, he or she will know everything. So right now, a child needs to concentrate about playing. He needs to concentrate about having yummy food and fill that little tummy of theirs and then run back to play. And they need to concentrate on studying. It's bad enough we have to, you know, really make them sit down and understand about their books. And I understand that it's very important for them to learn healthy food.

Speaker 2

2:05 But I tried that for two, three years. It did not work. And that's what my TED talk says also. You know, you try telling your child, look at this, you know, badam, and look at this walnut.

Speaker 1

2:14 It looks like this.

Speaker 2

2:15 It'll do. Do this to you. It'll do that to you. They don't care.

Speaker 1

2:19 Tips and tricks for busy working moms to be badass in the kitchen.

Speaker 2

2:24 Whenever, you know, whatever you're making the next day, just do a little bit of pre prep the night before. I mean, I think every mother knows. I don't think there is. I think, you know, moms know things by instinct. They just know what they need to do and make their child happy. So if you just plan a little, it'll be okay. And I, I will be coming out with my book soon. I don't know how soon, Nowhere near completion, but hopefully sooner than later.

Speaker 1

2:52 Thank you so much, Amrina. I wish you all the very best for your book. We're really looking forward to it.

Speaker 2

2:57 That's something I really need to.

Speaker 1

2:59 And more power to you.

Speaker 2

Speaker 2

3:11 I think that's the best part. Yeah, I like that line, is you

Speaker 1

3:13 love what you do, and that's why you created, like, an enormous brand around.

Speaker 2

3:18 So please keep watching and keep supporting me because I love cooking for my son and indirectly, I love cooking for you all. So it's. It's your love and encouragement that keeps me going.
