0:00 What's going on everyone? my name is Austin Wallik. I dropped out of college to run my business from my parents' basement. so far from this business, I've made just under $10,000 in the last started it in March. So March, April, May, June, July, August, 6 months, $10,000. Not not terrible. Not great. Honestly, I was expecting to be at 10K MR by now, but I'm not because I've been a lazy little messing around on quad code. So, this is going to be me cold calling and I'm actually going to be writing a new script on this video. So, this is how I'm going to I don't know. I'm just going to record myself doing it on a Google doc. So, we'll we'll see how that goes. I I've watched kind of a lot of videos. and then on on cold calling, so I should be able to do this.

0:58 I wasn't happy with my my script from last time, so I'm just going to make a new one. Cold call script. and I'm going to be calling people HVAC businesses without websites. so we'll see how it goes. I know cold calling scripts, like some people make them really long and they like come up with every objection, overcome, whatever. I feel like you should have those memorized or kind of just do it on the fly. Else it's like really hard to follow the script. So, I'm going to try to keep it to like one page, but I'm going to try to do this as quick as possible.

1:39 if we can do this, cold calling script on the fly. Okay. so let's let's do it. we'll just I I like a little bit of a pattern interrupt kind of script. So, I'm going to do hey, sorry you cut out there. Is this business name? Hey. Oh, hold on.

2:10 Wait. How do I even do this? Me. Me. Prospect. Okay, let's do it. Me and prospect. I don't need this. So, let's see. Hey, is Oh, no. Sorry. Hey, sorry. You cut out there. Is this business name? Hey, sorry. You cut out there. Is this business name?

2:46 Yes. Immediately they're going to be like, "How can I help you?" me. Yeah. Are you guys still open? because yeah. Are you are you guys still open? Cuz on online it said you guys were closed. Let me see. Cuz cuz online it said you guys were closed. I wish I remembered Hormosi's like annotations for like when to speed up, when to slow down. I can make up my own kind of Hey, sorry.

3:30 You cut out there. Or is this business name? Yes. How can I help you? Yeah. Are you guys still open? Cuz online it said you guys were closed. Online it said you guys are closed. Maybe like prospect. Okay. What? That's weird. Where? Just overall they're just like confused. Which is the pattern interrupt. Okay.

4:00 I believe this is from Pav Pavl. Pavle, I think. I've seen Pavle do this one with the online. It said you guys were closed. I believe because I watched it a few months ago. I just I like this one. What? That's weird. Where? Confused pattern interrupt. Okay. then let's go me. Yeah, just on Google. you kind of just want to ignore this a little bit because they're going to be like, "Oh, where did it say that?" I'm just be like on on Google somewhere. It's weird.

4:31 Yeah, that's weird. That's weird. Just on Google somewhere. But I did Should I just go straight into it here? I I did look around a little bit and I I couldn't find a website. do you do you guys have one of those or no? I don't know about that. Sorry, you cut out there. Is this business name? Yes. How can I help you? Are you guys still open? Cuz online said yours are closed.

5:02 What? That's weird. Yeah, that's that's weird. Yeah, just just on Google somewhere. But I did look around a little bit. Let me Okay, it. We'll just see. I did look around a little bit and I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys have one? I did look around a little bit and I I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys Do you guys have one? Prospect.

5:36 since I'm calling people without websites or you know, supposedly I'm calling people without websites, Claude kind of organized my list. So, we'll see how well it did. let's see. Do you guys have one? No. No. We're oldfashioned. No. Are you trying to sell me something? Yes, I am trying to sell you something. okay. No. No. We're old fashioned.

6:08 No. You're Are you trying to sell me something? Okay. Let's see where we can go from here. >> >> let's practice from the top. Hey, sorry you you cut out there. Is this XYZ HVAC? Yes. How can I help you? Yeah. Are you guys still open? Cuz online it it said you guys were closed. What? That's weird. Where? Confused. Pattern interrupt. Shebang. that that's weird. Yeah, just on on Google somewhere. but I I did look around a little bit and I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys Do you guys have one?

6:46 No. No. We're old fashioned. No. Are you trying to sell me something? I don't even know where to go from here. yeah. So, are I guess it would be like different responses to like, are you trying to sell me something? So, if Well, so if you don't have a website, are you getting most of your business through word of mouth? I'm guessing so if you don't have a website I'm guessing you get most of your business through word of mouth. Everyone of cold call says that they get their business through word of mouth.

7:33 so if you don't have a website I'm I'm guessing you get most of your business through word of mouth. prospect. Yes, me. Who's that like reliably filling up? I feel like they're going to start getting confused and like want to hang up here though. Sorry, you cut out there. Is this business name? Yes. How can I help you? Yeah. Are you guys still open? Cuz it said online it said you guys are closed. What? That's weird.

8:03 Where? Pattern interrupt. Shebang. That's weird. Yeah, just on Google somewhere, but I did look around a little bit and I I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys Do you guys have one? Do you guys have one so I can check out what you do? Maybe do you guys have one so I can check out what you do? Oh, okay. so if you don't have a a website, I'm guessing you get most of your business through word of mouth. Okay, we'll just we'll have to like we'll have to test this out and see how it goes. because I've I have no idea. I'm literally just making this up.

8:43 I've seen this on YouTube, but this is like just improvisation. Improv. Guessing you get most of your business through word of mouth. Yes. Oh, okay. Oh, okay. Curious. Oh. Oh, okay. And does that keep you guys fully booked? Does that reliably keep your calendar does that reliably is that reliably keeping your calendar full or kind of just oneoff here and there? Oh, okay. And is that reliably keeping your calendar full or kind of just one offs here and there?

9:37 Oh, okay. And is that reliably keeping your Are you guys fully booked from that or is it kind of just oneoff jobs? Kind of just oneoff jobs here and there. Oneoff jobs here and there. Oh, okay. Curious. And is that reliably keeping your calendar full or kind of just oneoff jobs here and there? Okay, let's run through it from the top. I don't know how much longer it's going to need to be cuz if they ask questions, I'm just going to answer them like off the dome. Hey, sorry you you cut out there. Is this business name? Yes. How can I help you?

10:19 Yeah. Are you guys still open? Cuz online it it said you guys were closed. What? That's weird. Where? Confused. Shebang. That's weird. Yeah, just on Google somewhere, but I I did look around a little bit and I I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys have one? No. Are you trying to sell me something? I'm guessing a lot of people are going to hang up here. Actually, we'll we'll see. I'm going to put a star here just because I have a feeling they're going to hang up. No. No. We're oldfashioned.

10:54 No. Are you trying to sell me something? Oh, okay. So, so if you don't have a website, I'm I'm guessing you get I feel like that's really direct. I'm just going straight into a business question. So, if you don't if you guys you don't have a website, I'm I'm guessing you get you get most of your business through word of mouth, right? So, if you don't have a website, I'm I'm guessing you get most of your business through word of mouth. Oh, okay. I'm just curious, is that reliably keeping your calendar full or kind of just oneoff jobs here and there?

11:32 Awesome. Maybe I should just go right into it here. It's like, all right, well, man, I'll tell you right here kind of have a surprise for you. You want to hear what it is? I have a surprise for you. You want to hear what it is? Oh, I like that. I haven't seen anyone do that. Prospect answer doesn't really matter. If it's keeping their calendar full, I don't even know what to Okay, so you you must be getting a lot of referrals then.

12:06 Tells me you do high quality work. Have you have you ever thought about getting a website up? I feel like you should just go go from here and I'll just be like me. Let me I want to test this out because I've never seen this before. I just thought of it. hey, sorry you cut out there. Is this business name? Yes. How can I help you? Yeah. Are you guys still open? Cuz it said online you guys were closed. What?

12:32 That's weird. That's weird. Yeah, just on Google somewhere. But I did look around a little bit and I I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys Do you guys have one? Do you guys have one of those? Do you guys have one? Whoa, whoa, whoa. So, if you don't have a website, how how do you get most How do you get your your business? How do you get your customers? Whoa. So, if you don't if you don't have a website, how how do you guys get your customers?

13:05 All right, I'm just going to I'm going to experiment with this. okay. is that keeping you guys fully booked or kind of just one oneoff jobs here and there? prospect fully booked. I have a little bit of a surprise, but you have to promise you're not going to freak out. Prospect. Okay. What is it? So using what I found about you online, I already built you a website and I be happy to show using what I found about your business.

14:28 using what I found on your business online. Using what I found out about your business. So, using what I found out about your business online. I already built you a website. Just on on Google somewhere, but I I did look around a little bit and I I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys have one? So, if you don't have a website, how are you how are you getting your customers? Slash How are you getting your customers?

39:44 Wait, hold on. This is middle of the night. That's got to be copyrighted. All right, I'm I'm sticking with electronic. >> >> Okay. I didn't know that was a that was a setting. All of a sudden, this is way more enjoyable. Blaze zone HVAC.

40:18 >> Thank you for calling. To be connected to a live agent, please press one now. If you would like to be added to our internal do not call list, please press >> I'm sorry you can't leave a >> I'm Sorry.

40:53 It's so much better when you can dance. >> Please enter your zip code and we will connect you to your local technician. Please enter your zip code and we will connect. >> I'm just not even going to bother. Every time it has someone like that, I never get to the owner. I'm just going to keep ripping through these. >> Thank you for calling mold air cleaning tech. >> Nope.

41:24 >> Just not even going to bother. I'm only calling laydowns. >> You've reached Tyler with Fairpoint Piping Mechanical. I can't get to the phone right now. I'll leave your name and number and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. >> Hey Tyler, I was just giving you a call to see if you guys are still open online somewhere. It said you guys were closed. I was a CSU student here in in Colorado and I actually started this business building websites for home service businesses. So, I I went ahead and used the information that I could gather online about you to to build you a website for free. And I'd be happy to show it to you sometime. So, let me know. Nice and casual.

42:14 No answer. I did send a voice message though. Denver Heating and Cooling. I swear we already called them. That's an answering service. >> All recorded by our service providers. >> Yep. Aspen Heating and Air. I called them in March. Okay, hold on. I got to turn off this music. It's kind of annoying, you know.

42:51 >> >> Okay. Aspen Air Heating and Cooling. Let's see. I called them a few months ago. They were not interested. Let's see. No answer. I feel like my number is getting >> Hi. If you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.

43:25 >> Yeah, my my name's Austin and I was calling about an HVAC inquiry. >> Thanks. Please stay on the line. >> All right, we're halfway. Almost 47 dials. >> Hello. >> Hello. Is >> Sorry, you cut out there. Is this Cyclone HVAC? >> This is How can I help you? >> Yeah. Are you guys still open? Cuz online it said you guys are closed. >> Yeah, I mean the I had a website rebuilt and then they messed it up and then they took it down. So, yeah.

43:57 >> Oh, that's how can I help you? >> Yeah. So, actually, funny enough, I I'll be honest with you, I was kind of giving you a cold call, but I'm not like a massive company. Kind of started this thing on my own out of out of college. you said you were having problems with the website. I tried to find your website and I couldn't find you guys find you guys. Is that correct? Yeah, I'm not really worried about my website to be honest. I get I get more than enough work word of mouth. I'm not going to waste any more money or time on a website. They're useless these days.

44:27 >> Huh. That's That's weird. You So, you're you're getting all of your your work through word of mouth. >> Yeah. Yeah. I don't even I don't need to advertise. I mean, I don't really need a website. I tried doing it two different times. Is that what you do? Because if if you do, I'm not interested. >> Yeah. I mean, so it it's the website is kind of not the most important part. The more important part is the systems behind the website. So like Google reviews quote form and stuff.

44:54 >> Yeah. I'm not I'm not spending another penny on anything like that to do with the website, any of that stuff. >> I I got you, man. Well, okay. Last last question just out of curiosity. you don't I know you you don't want the website or anything, but what what were the other companies charging you? >> I mean the first time I got it done, they I can't I can't remember. I mean, it's been probably like 10 years. was the last company that did it. I think it was probably around $4 or $5,000 >> like 10 years ago >> when people are really charging an arm and a leg and now it's all a lot of them are AI generated and just way easier to build. Like the last one was like almost $7,000.

45:32 >> Then he charged started tried to add something on top of that like Google optimizationist that whatever I whatever he was trying to add on. Yeah. And I told him I'm not interested. All I wanted you to do is build the website, put it together, and then, you know, just to have something. But now after like two bad experiences, I'm not interested that at all. >> Look, dude, I completely I understand like they sound like you're they're charging you up the wall. And that's kind of exactly why I started this because most people were charging like between like5 and $15,000 one time for a website. And for me, that kind of just seemed like the incentive structure was off. So for me, I just do 197 a month.

46:13 So like I'm incentivized to keep it up and running and like up to your satisfaction every month. Else you just stop paying me, >> right? Yeah. I'm still not interested. Yeah. I don't really get any business from the website. I get business from word of mouth. I work at a bunch of >> car dealerships, storage facilities. I get most of my Hey, the out of here. These little ankle biters. >> These little ankle biters.

46:43 >> You got dogs? >> Oh, it's a No, the a dog got out. You don't have to worry about the big dogs biting you, but these little will. >> Yeah. >> Yo, but yeah. Thanks for your time, man. Have a good day. >> You sound like a cool guy. Yeah, I appreciate you giving me the time a day. Yeah, of course. Just hang up on me because I was super mean and not respectful at all. But yeah, have a good have a great rest of your day, man.

47:05 hell, man. All right. Well, at least we got a conversation out of him. I don't even know what to do about that. Like, he just had a bad taste in his mouth from the last website companies that he dealt with. >> To talk to an HVAC technician, press one. >> I'm not even going to bother. I have called these people like seven times, bro. There's no way. How do they keep coming up?

47:38 No answer. Lovely. >> Thank you for calling Cooling. This is Shandra. >> Hey Sandra. Sorry you cut out there a little bit. Is this this Coolings? >> Yes. >> Okay. Yeah, that's a that's a cool name. Coolings Heating and Air Conditioning. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Are you guys still open? Cuz online it said you guys are closed. Yeah, we are still open. >> Oh, okay. That's weird because on on Google somewhere it just said you were closed. But I did I did look around a little bit and I I couldn't find a website anywhere. Do you guys have one?

48:17 >> we do we have one in process now being made. >> Okay, cool. Are are you Sandra the owner by chance? >> No, >> you're not the owner. Okay. So, I did actually have a surprise for the owner. I don't know if you could pass it on, but you have to promise not to freak out. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, I did already, using what I found about the business online, build you guys a website for free that I I would love to show it to you guys. But if you love it and you want to make it yours, you do have to pay me for it. Does that Does that sound fair? Okay. you'll have to talk to the owner about that, of course. So, I can get you to his voicemail if you would like.

49:06 >> Okay. Yeah, sure. Is Do you know what what time he would be in? Like, what time would be better for me to call? >> well, he's out the rest of this week, so he'll be back in on Monday. >> Okay. And you said you guys already have a website in process or you? >> Yes. >> Okay. And I'm guessing you're going through like a different company for that? >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, you know, I'll I'll go through to his voicemail. I'd be happy to give it a shot.

49:35 >> Okay, hold on one moment. >> Cool. Thank you. >> Hi, this is Bob Cooling. I can't get to my phone right now. If you leave me a message, I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks. >> Hey, Bob. I spoke with Sandra a few seconds ago and I had the pleasure of talking to her about what I can do for your business. So, I actually built you guys a website and I am willing to show it to you completely free. But the deal is if you if you love it and you want to make it yours, you you have to pay for it. If that sounds fair and sounds like something that you would be interested in, you can give me a call back.

50:20 25 and I I would love to to hear back from you. Shandra kind of told me that you guys were already going through a different company. I'm very competitive, so I'd love to show you my website side by side with theirs. And if you like theirs more, no hard feelings, but I'd love to I'd love to give it a go. Anyways, give me a call back. Bye-bye. Okay. Little more energy. Little more energy here on these calls.
