0:00 Most AI writing sounds like AI wrote it. Here are four ways to make yours sound like you. First, go for a walk. No screen, no laptop. I like to use a voice recorder app. Walking shakes ideas loose and your brain makes connections it can't make while sitting down. I like [music] recorder apps that ask follow-up questions. They help me get my thoughts out before I ever touch a keyboard. Second, I dump those raw thoughts into an AI and just work on the outline.
0:27 Don't write yet. Just get the structure right first. Third, I spend real time on the first two or three paragraphs. You can use AI here, but keep reworking them until they sound like you and make sure you want to keep reading. This sets the tone for everything that follows. Fourth, and this is the big one, I delete at least half of what AI write. It repeats itself. It hedges. It pads. Cut whole paragraphs that add nothing.
0:51 Cut adjectives the noun doesn't need. My friend Isaac wrote a series on this. If you feed his articles to your AI as a prompt, it strips the bloat for you. Comment write and I'll send you a prompt with Isaac's articles to try on your own writing. Plus the voice recorder app that I use.
