0:03 Hi, I'm Maya Coleman, executive director of Hand-inHand Parenting. I'm reaching out by video today because I want to personally invite you to help us make an important move for our global community before the year ends. When I first found handinhand early in my own parenting journey, I was completing my training as a clinical child psychologist and I had access to every parenting resource imaginable and I was still struggling.

0:36 One message from Handinhand gave me so much hope. This was we can learn a lot from a carefully observed disaster. That spirit of lightness, warmth, belief in parents, good intentions, and offer of company when things are hard made me feel welcome and really helped me become the parent that I wanted to be. And I want that same sense of welcome and connection to be available as widely as possible, especially now when so many families and caregivers are navigating overwhelming challenges.

1:14 Handinhand's goal is simple, that every child has at least one adult in their life with access to our tools and our community. And over the past 40 years, we've grown through parentto parent connections. Today, we have instructors in 38 different countries, resources in 15 languages, a listing as an evidence-based practice, and a newly published study in the Infant Mental Health Journal. In recent years, we've expanded our reach into the many systems that care for children, training teachers, social workers, pediatricians, family leaders across the world. And right now, those systems are facing a profound crisis of care.

2:00 This is a moment for bold and effective action. So, here is our next big step. We want to open our mentored online community, the handinhand community, free of charge to anyone who needs support. This is not just a static library of resources. It's a living global community with trained instructors and peers who can offer connection and guidance at any hour across every time zone. For a worried or isolated caregiver, that kind of immediate support can change everything for a child and their family. To make this possible, I'm asking you, our friends and supporters, to join us.

2:46 Below this video, you'll see what it will take financially to guarantee free access for every caregiver who needs it, and how your gift can support one person, a family, or an entire community. Thank you for your generosity, for caring for each other, and for standing with families during such challenging times. Please feel free to reach out to me or to any of our staff or board if you'd like to connect in person. Take care.
