0:00 All right, well, the commanders are back on the practice field today as week two of OTAs gets underway, but as the official television station of the Washington Commanders, we're keeping you covered both on and off the field. And today we are so excited to welcome Commanders President Marc Klaus right to my left, to the studio, actually to the kitchen with some big news for fans. It's always good to see you. Thank you for being with us.
0:22 Yeah, -- great -- to, -- great to be here with -- both of you today, and it's even better when you bring food. Hope you're hungry. We've been talking about the OTAs, but now we're talking about the food right now. So you have an announcement for fans today, and it concerns, uh, this delicious spread. Tell us about it. Yeah, so as, as many have been following along on our journey, uh, since Josh, uh, purchased the team, we've been working hard to really bring some excitement and, and really make the fan experience incredible, and we've also really been focused on celebrating our season ticket members.
0:53 Uh, they're the foundation of our. Fan base and we know they're investing a lot of money to come spend all of our home games together with us um and so we're looking for ways to bring value and so uh thanks to our partners at Pepsi, we were able to work through and build a value menu for our season ticket members. So you're gonna have 10 items under $5.05 items under $10 and it's all the fan favorites.
1:19 So what you see up here is 86% of all the purchases in the stadium are. Going to be on this menu for fans and and it's 59% average savings or discount versus normal prices. What did you say that again? You said $5 yeah, $5. So if you got $20 wisdom, yes, you can get two Pepsis, 22 hot dogs, and either fries, nachos, -- or popcorn -- and something for his wife. All right, -- I'm hoping one -- of the, you're right, the mighty, you're good.
1:50 It's highly possible. It's possible. All right, so when the fans hear about getting this deal. Uh, we're talking about these items. I mean, these are really inexpensive items at a significant discount. Uh, what was it, yeah, I, I heard you say this is about the fans and the season ticket holders and, and making it a memorable, memorable experience. Is that, uh, the entire concept behind it, changing the whole concept of coming to a football game because we, as we know, going to a game, it can get a little pricey.
2:15 It can, and, and we recognize that. And you know, one of the things that we spend a lot of time doing at the Commander's is listening to our fans. You know, hearing what matters, what, what's gonna, what's on their mind and what's gonna make the experience better, and you know, along with the menu, obviously food and beverage and pricing is something that we heard a lot from our fans and wanted to address that head on. But one of the other things they said to us is they really want more access to football.
2:39 And so in addition to the menu, we're also announcing today that for season ticket members we're going to go from 3 days at training camp to 6 days. Oh, you're gonna double it, so more training camp days as well. Which we know is really important to our fans. So we're trying to do, uh, as many things as we can, um, to make that season ticket experience really special. We want to talk about some of what's been going on at practice, but first, how did you choose?
3:05 Because when I see this, like this brat with the peppers and all that, I'm like, oh no, -- that's like 8.99 -- for sure. -- So how did you choose what goes -- into? Yeah, I mean, what we really tried to do was and. This is where Pepsi is so helpful. They are just such the experts on value and and what fans are looking for along with Levy, who is our vendor and provider at the stadium, and we worked with them to really figure out what items are the most popular, uh, which ones do fans really want.
3:33 We actually have one of our returning, uh, partners in Ben's Chili Bowl, that's also. Gonna be a part of that. Shout out to Virginia. Great to have, uh, uh, great to have Ben's Chili Bowl back in the stadium, um, and, and work through what we think items are gonna be the most meaningful to fans and then developing pricing that puts us among the most affordable in the NFL. And that was the goal, and that was the goal.
3:56 I think you might have accomplished that, man. A lot of people are gonna be excited about that. So can we, can we talk about OTAs? Uh, sure, yeah. Give us all the secrets. Who's doing what where? Here's what I'm gonna say. I recognize food or no food, there is no substitute for victory, but I got to tell you, DQ Adam, they're on the case, working hard. I'm confident we're going to be ready to go, uh, when the season starts, and we're going to have all the food ready to go for the fans when they get there.
4:21 I love it. OK, so this is the president of our Washington Commanders. What do you have to say to the fans? We're excited about this season. First, 1st year, yeah, 2nd year healing. Well, let's go, let's go get your, first of all, let's go get your season tickets. They're going, they're going, they're going fast and, uh, let's get together and raise some hell. Yeah, -- raise some -- hail while you're full at the stadium and then with that extra money you can probably do something else like buy maybe more tickets.
4:48 I mean, I'm just saying, I, you know, I'm working with you here, Mark. -- I'm -- working with you here. Good, I appreciate you. Marc Klaus is the president of the Washington Commanders. Thank you. It's always good to see you. Yes, always good to see you guys. Thank you.
