Listen to me, if you buy that iPad, you will spend the rest of its life trying to come up with a reason to use it. >> There is none. There is none. >> Oh, Carter, you just don't know yet. Here are three iPad features that will make this the most useful device you've ever owned. First, take your iPad, put it next to your Mac or MacBook, then go to this menu at the top right here. Click on these little screens, then click iPad. You don't need to plug it in. You don't need to configure anything whatsoever, and just like that, you have a second monitor that's connected totally wirelessly to your MacBook in full iPad resolution that you can take with you on the go. Pair it with a MacBook Neo, and this is your entire dual monitor travel setup. This alone makes the iPad worth it, but I got more.

Then by far the most elite use case that pretty much nobody knows about. If you have Final Cut on your iPads and Final Cut Camera on your iPhones, you could have four different iPhones recording at once with their back cameras. Use the iPad as a viewfinder for all the cameras, control all the cameras from the iPad. All these clips go directly into Final Cut on your iPad for you to edit off of. It is the most seamless multi-cam editing setup I've ever used, not even close. I'm setting up my studio with it right now. More people need to know about this. Now third, using it for drawing and notes, but most people use the wrong app, so they have an awful time with it. Very specifically using this one called Concepts, which I learned from one of my engineering friends. It's like half creative drawing, but half also super technical drawing. There's like really good grid snapping, and crucially, you can like move shapes around to make animations to make it really easy to explain stuff. If you've ever been thrown off and haven't felt like you've gotten in a groove with your iPad and drawing, download Concepts. It will like change your world. Trust me, I use this for literally everything now, and I never really even touched notes before.

Lastly, bonus, if you have a super niche hobby, there's almost certainly an iPad app for it that makes it so much easier. For example, I'm working on getting my pilot's license, and this app, ForeFlight, literally runs everything that pilots do, and we could not function without it. Again, this alone makes buying an iPad super worth it. Everything else is gravy. External monitor with a MacBook Neo is literally all I need to do to save, but I gave you some extra gravy.
