00 This year, I'm trying to go on one international trip every month, and a zero forex card is my best friend outside India. One tip while using a zero forex card abroad in POS machine, always pay in the foreign currency and not INR. All the six cards mentioned in this video are lifetime free, some of which I also use personally with one bonus card at the end, which you should not miss. So, let's start with Scapia. Undoubtedly, the most popular zero forex card of India is Scapia that offers special airport privileges like unlimited domestic lounge access or free shopping, spa, or dining at airport for 1,000 rupees, fully free, which unlocks after spending 20,000 rupees in the Visa and RuPay variant combined or in any of the variants. In Scapia, you get 20% cashback as Scapia coins in all travel bookings in the Scapia app, which is 4% net return, 10% cashback in any online or offline spends outside Scapia, which is 2% rewards plus 5% cashback, which is 1% net returns in UPI spends over 500 in RuPay variant of Scapia. Five Scapia coins are 1 rupee, which can be redeemed fully to book flights, hotels, buses, and more on the Scapia app. Watch this video on Scapia to learn more and apply now using the link in description. Next, I want to talk about a very underrated zero forex card, which is also lifetime free, that may not be as popular as others, but definitely deserves a spot in this list as it rewards you in many categories and is not just a zero forex card. I'm talking about the Uni Gold X credit card that not only helps you save forex markup fees, currency conversion charges, and GST in 180-plus countries, but it is also a travel-friendly card that offers unlimited 7% rewards on flights, 10% on hotels, both domestic or international, when booked from the Uni Store. In most other zero forex cards, once you're back from a foreign trip, you don't use them much, but with Uni Gold X, you can earn rewards in day-to-day spends and shopping like 5% rewards on many merchants like Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, etc. shown on your screen including many major food and shopping brands via vouchers that offer up to 8% back and also movie benefits of 50% rewards of up to 250 rupees every month on PVR and INOX vouchers. It also has a virtual RuPay variant that you can connect with any UPI apps like PhonePe or Google Pay and use it in India for merchant scan and pay transactions and earn unlimited 1% rewards with no cap.
23 The rewards you earn can be redeemed in digital gold in the Uni app which can be converted to either cash or real gold coin with zero making charges. Don't forget to apply for the card using the link in description to get it approved in minutes and I have made a more detailed video on the Uni Gold X card which you can check later on my channel. Up next Neo Global. This is the card which I use the most personally as I have used it in 12 plus countries like in Korea, Dubai, France, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia recently. Neo has four variants, two credit cards and two debit cards and I own the Neo Global DCB debit card which I also recommend but they also have an FD based credit card that offers 6.5% interest which you can get without any civil history or income proof. Now, you may think even after owning credit cards, why do I use a debit card more internationally and the reason is mainly because of ATM withdrawals. You see, with a credit card you are not supposed to take out cash from an ATM. Banks hate it and they charge you with a very high interest penalty which starts from the day you withdraw the money till you pay the full credit card bill. This is called as cash advance fee which is very high plus you're paying an ATM withdrawal fee to your bank in India plus to the foreign country's bank. Yes, even in Neo debit card you pay a flat ATM withdrawal fee of 425 rupees plus GST but there's no extra interest unlike in credit cards.
48 One good thing about Neo is that even in their credit cards there are no extra interest charges unlike other credit cards. So, my strategy is I use credit cards for tap and pay in POS and for ATM withdrawal, I use the Niyo debit card. One tip, withdraw the money you want in a foreign country in one go instead of multiple withdrawals and you'll save a lot on the ATM fee. This is something I learned from my own mistakes. Two more things I like about Niyo personally is that their app is really user-friendly and easy to use with a lot of features like spend based chart, detailed transaction showing how much forex you saved and the currency conversion you paid and the fact that their application process is really smooth, fast and they delivered the card in just two to three days from the start of application journey, which is insane. The debit card gets approved instantly and you just have to download the app from the link in description. Make a Niyo account and immediately you can transfer funds using any UPI like PhonePe or Google Pay and start using the card for international spends. Another thing I like is that when I run out of money in a foreign country in the Niyo account, in just 30 seconds, I can self-transfer the funds from my other account to my Niyo DCB account on Google Pay and continue using the card internationally and this process does not need an OTP as well.
00 Niyo also has send money abroad feature with zero fee, which is helpful for international students. Niyo Global also offers lounge access, but you need to spend 50,000 rupees internationally for one lounge. Niyo Global has 100% approval rate and so apply for the card using the link in description. Up next, BoB Itna, which is not just zero forex, but it's actually a forex positive card that is currently on a lifetime free offer. Ever since getting the card in late January of 2026, I have used it personally in Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand and for Hong Kong and Taiwan travel bookings and accumulated many points. BoB Itna offers 5x reward points, which is three base plus 12 bonus reward points, so total 15 reward points per 100 rupees spent on travel spends, both domestic or international and on dining and other online spends except for these transactions like fuel, government spends, etc. Since one reward point is 25 paisa, so effective return is 3.75% for 5x rewards. The reward rates you want can be redeemed as statement credit easily using the BoB card app. Remember, the 5x reward points has a monthly cap of 5,000 reward points, which means till spends of 41,667 rupees in a month whether done in India or foreign, whether online or offline, you will get the rewards which I think is good enough. Now, let me explain how this is a forest positive card, which means you get rewards even in foreign spends both online or offline. BoB Octane has a forex markup fee of 2% and the cashback rate is 3.75%. So, your effective net return is roughly 3.75% minus 2% forex fee minus 18% GST on forex fee equals to approx 1.4% net return, which is still really good.
40 Remember, this is the only lifetime free credit card that's offering 1.4% cashback even in international spends. Some other bonus features of this card are number one, 10,000 bonus reward points on spending 50,000 rupees within the first 60 days of getting the card, which I also got while using it for my Maldives trip. Number two, unlimited domestic lounge access by spending 40,000 rupees in a quarter, which can be shared for free with three add-on cards for family. Number three, 20,000 bonus reward points on spending 5 lakh rupees in a year. Number four, buy one get one free movie ticket per month up to 250 rupees on this app. You can check the dedicated video on BoB Octane card where I've explained and simplified the cashback percentage, reward point redemption using my own credit card bill, and more. Up next, IDFC FIRST Wow.
26 This is the most beginner-friendly lifetime free credit card which you can own right now even without having any other credit card or any civil history income proof because it's an FD-based credit card with 100% approval rate, which also happens to be zero forex card with no currency conversion charges, perfect for international spends. Let's say you just make a 20,000 rupees FD, not only will you get 100% of your FD amount as your credit limit, you will also earn 6.25% interest. With the first wow card, for every 150 rupees spent, you will earn 4x reward points for online, offline, and even on international spends, and 1x reward points on insurance premium payments and utility bill payments, where one reward point is 25 paisa, which you can redeem in the IDFC mobile app by buying products or gift vouchers. Up next, ixigo by AU Bank. Since AU ixigo is hard to get as AU Bank is shitty and rejects all applications, I'm still mentioning it as a bonus card as it's a lifetime free zero forex card with great benefits like number one, 10% off on hotel, bus, and flight booking up to 3,000 rupees each. Number two, no payment gateway charges on train bookings. Number three, joining bonus of 1,000 reward points plus 1,000 ixigo money. Number four, 2.5% rewards on every 200 rupees spent online, offline, or UPI in the RuPay variant. Number five, quarterly milestone rewards of 5,000 bonus points on spends over 75,000 rupees every quarter. Number six, one complimentary international lounge access in a year with priority pass. Number seven, two domestic lounge access per quarter, but minimum spends of 50,000 rupees is required in last quarter. One reward point is 0.5 ixigo money, which can be redeemed in ixigo bookings, product vouchers, bill payments, and recharge or buying from their product catalog. One bonus card, though not lifetime free, but can be useful for some is the HSBC Travel One credit card. Even though it's not technically a zero forex card, but currently there's a 3.5% cashback offer going on in international spends till 30th June 2026, which offsets the 3.5% forex fee. But, you need to register for this by texting HSBCFX to 575750 or calling/emailing the customer care.
35 So, if you have any international trips before that, you can take this card and earn lots of rewards like 24% back in hotels and 16% back in flights and a lot of joining and welcome benefits as shown on your screen. I have made a detailed video on it and many other travel cards which you can check in this video. So, here are the tier list. Uni Gold X goes in S tier. Scapia will go in A tier. AU Ixigo will be in B tier. Bobble Titan will definitely be in S tier if you can get it for lifetime free. Since Ixigo is very hard to get and has a lot of rejections, so it will be B tier. Niyo Global is my personal favorite. I would have put it in S tier, but for the general audience, I think it deserves to be in A tier. HSBC Travel One definitely deserves to be in A tier. So, here is my whole tier list. Please let me know in comments what's yours. I highly recommend checking out the best travel cards of 2026 video next. Thank you for watching. I'm Anirban and I'll see you at the next one. Cheers.
