0:00 This is one of the things I realized after becoming a mother a bit too late. Sure, many many can become a parent, birth a child, donate sperm, but to know how to raise children who are empowered and conscious and resilient and authentic, oh my goodness, that none of us know how to do. And this is what I realized. I'm like, damn it. I had the child, but I don't know how to bloody raise this child. I didn't know about my trigger points and that if I didn't catch my triggers in time, I would be vomiting, dumping all my crap onto my child, straight into her psyche. I didn't know how to diffuse my triggers.
0:43 I didn't even know how to manage my anxieties. I was unhinged, unedited, uncensored, and I've probably traumatized my child. No one taught me about that. I didn't realize that without conscious repair, our children would carry our shame, believing it was their fault that we came unglued. I didn't realize that I had an ego mask day after day, that I was really parenting from my false self, that I was caught in unconscious habits and patterns from my childhood that I had never healed. I didn't know all of this.
1:19 All of this came to me after I had a child and realized, wow, no one taught me this. I didn't know how to create conscious boundaries. I didn't realize that when you learn how to create conscious boundaries, actually you create amazing connection. So all of this, these are skills that none of us learned. How to manage our anxieties, how to regulate ourselves, how to meditate, how to be mindful, how to be present, how to play, how to understand our children's language. Well, I had to learn all of this and then I began teaching this to everyone I could. It's not just having the role of parent, not just birthing our children. It's really taking this sacred obligation very seriously, the best we can. Listen, we all going to pass down some trauma. But at least let's grow from it. At least let's heal from it. At least let's try to be the pattern disruptors. And this is what I teach in all my books. But the books are not enough. We need to know how to do this, how to do it in real time, how to apply it, how to practice over and over. And this is why I went one step further for my books and created, curated, designed and founded my conscious parenting institute. This is where you get the parent training that you never got. This is where you learn the skills and how to apply it. My institute opens twice a year. Two week money back guarantee. You have nothing to lose. Try it. If you're a parent who wants to uplevel your parenting skills, that you want to learn to be the best parent you can, check out my institute type coach and we will send you all the details.
