0:00 The problem is that nagging erodess connection and overfunctioning erodess your soul. Nagging erodess connection because our children zone us out. Our families just say, "Oh, she's over sensitive. She's the dramatic drama queen." [snorts] Right? Our husbands just tune us out. It becomes background noise. We're like elevator music. No one can hear us anymore. So they're not connected.

0:32 They're not tuned in. They're not actually paying attention to what we say. And that beca becomes a vicious cycle because we feel unseen and unheard. And the more we voice our opinion, the more they tune us out, the more unseen and unheard we really are. But overfunctioning erodess your soul because you're feeling like a martyr. You're feeling like a victim. You're feeling burnt out. And I've had many students who've actually had nervous breakdowns and ended up in medical facilities because of true burnout, because of running on fumes. And that leads to real breakdowns that we want to avoid, obviously.

1:13 Now, I want to pause here and give you an opportunity to just identify for yourself which one are you more likely to do. Do you go loud or do you go quiet? Do you hound and nag or do you do it yourself like a martr?
