0:00 Human computer interface is going to become primarily voice as opposed to a screen. So, part of the reason why Google succeeded it's is a very simple interface. There's a text box and a button. That's it. Anyone can learn how to use it. The reason why ChatGPT worked is because it was also a very simple interface, just chat. There's a text box and a button, you get a response, that's it. The simpler version of that is just having a conversation. I say something, I hear something in response. If you use voice AI from ChatGPT right now, it sucks. It's too slow, the LLM is much dumber than the core LLM. The escalation to the higher quality is pretty weak. I think what will happen and Meta has the right idea by the way. People are going to be talking to their computer and phone and some wearable constantly throughout the day and using screens a lot less.

Summary

The future of human-computer interaction is shifting towards voice interfaces, moving away from traditional screens. This transition is driven by the simplicity of voice communication, as seen in successful platforms like Google and ChatGPT, which prioritize user-friendly designs. However, current voice AI technology still has significant limitations that need to be addressed for broader adoption.

- Voice interfaces are becoming the primary mode of interaction, reducing reliance on screens.
- Successful platforms like Google and ChatGPT thrive on their simple, intuitive interfaces.
- Voice communication offers a more natural and conversational way to interact with technology.
- Current voice AI capabilities are lacking, particularly in responsiveness and intelligence compared to text-based models.
- Meta's vision aligns with the trend of constant voice interaction through devices and wearables.
- The evolution of voice AI is crucial for enhancing user experience and accessibility.
