0:00 I simply don't see anything that points in the direction that we've peaked. If you look at the underlying spot prices for semiconductors, for example, we're still accelerating even since we've got the updates from Micron and Hynix, etc. We're probably up another 20% or so. One of the smaller players was quoted saying that they expected the big players within that space to hike prices 30 to 40% in Q3. That's certainly not discounted. If you look at the forward earnings, most market participants expect the semiconductor companies to peak in Q1 next year. Something like that. If you look at the communication from the hyperscalers, it will run far, far there because they communicate that 2027 will be wilder, way wilder than 2026.
Summary
- Semiconductor spot prices are still increasing, with a recent 20% rise.
- Smaller companies anticipate major players will raise prices by 30-40% in Q3.
- Market expectations suggest semiconductor companies may peak in earnings by Q1 next year.
- Hyperscalers indicate that demand will significantly increase, with 2027 expected to be much stronger than 2026.
- Overall sentiment points to continued growth in the semiconductor sector.
