So, one of my deep beliefs is the criticality of not being like an ivory tower CEO. You have to experience the product. And for Meetup, the product is the phone or desktop, but it's also the going to the events. So, I made it a path that my first 30 days I went to a Meetup event every single day.
0:30 >> day. But, it was run by a founder. And as many companies were run by founders for 16 years, there were a lot of pet projects. There were a lot of things that didn't make financial sense. The company was losing $20 million a year, and they and we work with their biggest concern about Meetup was that they weren't losing enough money. It was only $20 million a year. I inherited 16 direct reports, which tells you how dysfunctional I was who had 16 direct reports. Within 6 months, I had zero of the 16 were still with the company.
