I know that I'm predisposed to a certain type of attachment and I'm going to learn habits. I'm going to learn reframing so that the way that I show up in the world is the way that um I believe Jesus made me to do so. Now, are we going to get that perfectly? No, we are not until we are in eternity. Um but we can constantly progressively be moving towards that. And so, it is this interplay between our own personal attachment styles and then our children's. And it is really generational in nature. The ways that our parents attach influence the ways that they parented us, which influence the ways that we attach, which influence the ways that we parent, and so on and so forth. And so, it's a really powerful, hopeful thing. I think when we figure out our own attachment and how we're relating to our children, we can disrupt those generational cycles to influence the future generations of our family. This is not just about my relationship with my child, but their relationship with their children and their children and their children and their children.
