Look at the lives of people all around the world today and for generations past, the number of people who've been able to improve their lives and have happy lives and have more happiness than unhappiness. There has never been a better time to be alive. You know, compared with 200 years ago, would you really want to be there with no anesthetics? Imagine the dentistry, try and imagine how much better it might be in a hundred years from now.

0:31 I mean, if you think how far we've come in a hundred years since 1921, in terms of human living standards around the world. Imagine that we do that again. Life will be incredible. So why not have a go at making it happen and be part of it? You are so lucky to be alive now, kids. Have a crack at making it better for yourselves and other people. This isn't just about you. The point of the world is to help other people because then they can help you.

1:02 I mean, the big theme of human history is getting narrower and narrower at what we've produced, so that we are wider and wider in what we consume 'cause we work for other people. What you do in your job is you supply other people with things they need, in the hope that they'll supply you with things you need. And that way we get more and more efficient, we get better and better at looking after people, and we're all leading nicer lives.
