0:00 do you often find yourself as a slave to a whole bunch of tourists and you feel at the end of the day there's this feeling like i'm not enjoying this process or i haven't done enough or what have i really done today now trust me we all have that feeling and we all go through a very very similar process um of course i get a lot of dms asking how do you really get so much joy in what you do but

0:27 i often talk about this technique called matching and just patching similar tasks give me a little joy because then i am able to compartmentalize myself into a thinking and doing process i understand that to-do list can be really really daunting and sometimes you know you may struck off you must have struck off a hundred things in your to-do list that feeling of having done enough does not um satiate you and that's exactly what i'm gonna share in this video today of how

0:58 you can get that feeling of i've done a really good job today first up is mapping my quarterly goals and just figuring out what is really important for me in that quarter you can go as much as doing a 12 month on it or you're starting out even a monthly report will really really help after you've done that map out every single task that you really need to do as essential and operational

1:29 within essential try and see things that one you can delegate and one which need to be done by yourself if it is delegate i go first and delegate it because i always feel it makes me feel lighter and it makes and when i feel lighter i have less things on my brain i am a person who is generally more productive the next one i would go is on the essential task machine to be done by me

1:57 on those i would actually prioritize what is important within that order or is going to take me closer to my quarterly goal and actually work on that and prioritize it accordingly does it need to be prioritized on a day this week that i am actually working on creative um tasks or essential tasks or can it move back by a week it completely depends so prioritizing there with essential ones essential to essentially would really really help if it is an

2:27 operational task again follow the same process of do or delegate if it is dedicated go ahead and delegate it first and then prioritize your dose make sure that every day a task that you pick is something that includes an essential task and that is taking you closer to your body goals that will really be a big big game changer don't shut shock without doing that one essential task for you also identify your productivity windows for me i know

2:56 that first thing in the morning that window between 9 to 12 is really really important so i will ensure that i have my blinders on and whatever task is essential and the two tasks is something that i will back in that 9-12 window i'm not someone who does a lot of morning meetings because that's my time and i am hyper productive and hyper focused at that point in time so i try and do a lot of thinking work between that 9 to 12.

3:25 also when you're writing your task be very very specific because the more specific you are the more action oriented and faster you will be able to achieve that of your list right so example send email you know send email to whom right or if you already know that that's an ongoing conversation close discussion on pnr or close discussion on social media versus say social media strategy february 2021 or

3:56 october 2025 be as specific um with your task it really really helps after you've picked your window of work make sure that you create work blocks what that work block essentially means is that 9 to 12 i'm not going to let anything else interrupt me because i'm going to be in the flow state of mind flow state means only doing and that creative process just flows so when i'm for example doing my scripting or i'm writing strategies

4:27 or i'm working on plans or i'm creating courses or i'm creating content that's my flow state of mind and i do not like to be interrupted in that process so i'll create it in a creative block or a work block for me um and make sure that you use acts like a forest or you um you know just put on a funny hat or something to let people know in your team or it could even be noise

4:51 cancellation headphones uh and let people know that you're unavailable at that point in time it's very very important to let people know that you are unavailable at that point in time um and also which is very important is my meditation practice has really helped me to be in the noisiest environment but still be in that flow state because that that sound just seems like ambient noise or soft music and it doesn't bother me at all so

5:20 achieving that level of flow state is very very important factoring for interruptions interruptions are absolutely normal but uh and people will reach out to you people will follow you people will bring you there will be whatsapp there will be instagram but what is very important is how do you deal with those interruptions right so for me it means switching on apps like forest um where i know i can't touch my phone for the next 25 35 45 minutes trust me when i started

5:49 on the app from now from 25 minutes and now we're about 45 to 50 minutes and that's a huge huge progress right because that means you are giving your hundred percent and i always speak of this mono tasking versus multitasking become an expert at monotasking it really really helps so factoring for those interruptions [Music] also they always say that you know if you want to create a great dish you must have great ingredients if you want to

6:20 work really really well choose great tools for yourself for me everyone knows that i love using um you know my ipad my my abs my watch my mac my phone everything um and it really is my productivity anything that saves you time increases productivity does more work that then you can do is definitely an up on my list of things to do and it seamlessly for me connects my files if i have dropped off

6:51 something on one device it automatically syncs it to the other transferring heavy files transferring data transferring a whole bunch of things to my team seamlessly connecting me in and out of apps because i'm constantly working on the go so for me it really helps if someone else can do my job um and you know then then why am i not doing right that works again back to the principle toward delegate um and even having accessibility right so when i'm

7:18 traveling i still have my ipad with me and not my computer but i don't need to worry about the files on my computer because i know that they may be on my ipad my thoughts will be on my ipad um you know my notes are always on my phone so it really really um helps um helps the process [Music] another practice that i'd love to share with you guys is something which is called reward or temptation funding now

7:45 what this often means is you do a task and you get a reward right so typically if i want to check my phone or social media or i want to watch a show or i want to go out for a run or read a book i will always and you must have seen this i just posted this on my instagram feed about indra nui's book i had it for a week but i promised myself i'm not

8:05 going to begin reading it because i have to share a very important presentation with someone and it's very important for me to kind of finish that and then go ahead and start it there was so much urgency for me to actually finish doing that task so i could get back to that book typically i would create 25 to 35 minute work blocks and then give myself a five minute break and that has really really worked for me

8:31 [Music] last but not the least is my afternoon naps if you're following me on instagram you already know that i do take a nap every afternoon for about 15 minutes and it's fairly simple because it literally breaks my d into two halves and it gives me so much energy for that second half that literally i feel like i've opened up all over again through the day and um you know i just have this this amazing focus which comes back the

9:01 minute i nap on the afternoon i really hope you enjoyed this video and if you did then you know of course whatever part of it was essential do practice it take screenshots whenever you're following it of course write back to me on instagram facebook or um you know or on youtube right here and let me know how you really enjoyed this process and if any one or all of the techniques really really appeal to you would love

9:26 to know which one really helped you and yeah that's it for me [Music] you
