0:00 The new academic year has just begun and this video is going to talk about pre-writing skills that your child must have as they begin school. Number one, before kids can start writing letters, they must learn how to master basic strokes like standing line, sleeping line, slanting line, and crossing lines. These build the very foundation of legible and confident handwriting. When these basic foundational skills are skipped, your child will feel frustration. They will feel fatigue. they will feel low self-esteem. They will feel like they are missing out on key skills and the writing readiness. So make sure that the hand finger strength, the pencil grip, the hand eye coordination, the crossing the midline, the bilateral coordination, upper body strength, object manipulation, visual perception, the hand dominance and hand division, which is tripod fingers in action.
