00 So, the US military is preparing for a 90day doomsday scenario because the United States just attacked Iran. >> Thank you very much. A short time ago, the US military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities. >> Now, in addition to what's happening around the world, Europe just experienced a wave of cyber attacks against their food supply. Freezers and fridges at supermarkets in Belgium, Sweden, Ireland, Estonia, and Luxembourg have overheated in a suspected cyber attack, ruining millions of pounds worth of food.

34 >> Just a couple weeks ago, the same thing happened at more than 500 supermarkets in France. Some of their fridges apparently got so hot they caught fire and millions of euros worth of food had to be thrown out. And this is happening in the US as well. Six grocery stores on US military bases failed in the same way. And nobody knows who's behind any of this just yet, but it looks like someone is testing whether they can destroy a whole country's food supply. And there's partially why the United States just initiated something called fortress. And the details of it are pretty unsettling.

09 >> Ventagon is preparing for what many would consider to be a nightmare scenario. What would happen if the power grid was knocked out and military bases were cut off? >> Reporter Jennifer Griffin takes a closer look at those plants. A new doomsday plan called Fortress preps military bases to keep forces operational in the event of a major attack that cripples power grids and other critical infrastructure. >> If an adversary takes down the grid by cyber attack, by sabotage, or by any means, our bases stay lit. Our aircraft keep flying. Our command centers never go dark.

41 >> Each base would maintain its own off-grid power supply along with big stockpiles of weapons and fuel to last for at least 90 days. Factories would switch to wartime weapons production and key military leaders would be moved to a secure complex at Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado. >> I will just say this, their plan is insane. It will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law.

15 >> If you're paying attention, something is starting to happen. Just recently, for example, the US army started doing an exercise where they're practicing battlefield burials at large scale, which is apparently something the military hasn't had to do since the Korean War. It's a very ominous thing to be doing exercises about. Also, around the same time, the Pentagon declared a military emergency that is now being used to fasttrack a new battlefield painkiller past the normal FDA process.

46 Now, you might have also seen a video of air defense missiles that are now parked outside of Trump's Mara Lago. So, we are being prepared for something. And it's not just the United States. By one count, 33 countries are now telling their citizens to keep food, water, cash, and a radio at home. The UK launched a three-year campaign for this. Japan launched their own version. Germany says to keep up to 10 days of supplies. And all of this is happening around a very specific date. Now, Iran says that if the war starts again, they have a quote surprise weapon and its targets are allegedly things like undersea internet cables, data centers, and AI facilities. So, the question is, what is happening in the world right now? I've spent the past few days going through everything I could find, and I think it comes down to a few possible theories. The first theory is that all of this is just fear-mongering. It's the algorithms that have learned that fear keeps us watching. So, this could just be the corporate machine doing what it does best, which is extracting our money and attention because fear makes people buy things. That is possible. Now the second theory is that this is all about control because every crisis whether it's real or not is just another opportunity for governments to expand and centralize their power. And the third theory is sort of the darkest which says that all of this will eventually culminate to a nuclear strike on Iran. And the timing is not a coincidence. The people pushing us toward these decisions are preparing for all of this. and how Iran would react if that were to happen is also kind of dark. So, let's go through the evidence for each one of these theories. I'll tell you which one I think is most likely. So, with that said, let's get into it. Hi, my name is Andre Jick. Hope you're doing well. Come for the finance and stay for the doomsday video I was not looking forward to making. So, before I explain all of these theories, let me just show you what's actually happening. because there's a lot of things that by themselves might not seem like a big deal, but when you put them all together in context, it paints a much darker picture. So, first you might have heard about something called fortress. It stands for federal operations for resilience, troop resources, energy, supply, and survivability. Now, the goal of Fortress is to have roughly 200 major military bases across the country to basically keep running for 90 days without depending on the outside world. And to get there, they're looking at things like battery storage, portable nuclear reactors, stockpiling ammo, fuel, medicine, things like that. Now, that sounds ominous for sure, but the good news is this is not something that's going to switch on next week. It's going to cost billions of dollars and it's going to take years to do that. There's no official completion date and a lot of the reporting actually frames it around China just as much as Iran. So that's the good news. Now on October 20th and 21st, the army also started running something called phase 2 of an exercise called Operation Dragon Covenant. And this is where the military started practicing what's called mass temporary interment, which is a fancy way of saying they're practicing burying fallen soldiers on the battlefield so that their remains could be recovered and sent home after the war. The details of that are pretty ominous. Now, you might have also heard a story about some kind of painkiller. This was a story started back in February when the Pentagon gave some kind of a company from Singapore, a roughly $41 million contract to develop a ketamine wafer that dissolves under the tongue. And that's so that a medic could treat severe pain without an injection. Now, that story actually happened before any of this. But what's new is that in July, Secretary Hegsth declared a military emergency and the Department of Health and Human Services used that declaration to open an emergency use pathway for drugs that the Pentagon needs. The company is now pushing to get these wafers to troops before full FDA approval. That's also kind of ominous. Well, and then there was that story about Mara Lago where NORAD deployed Avenger air defense systems close by and they said it was because of a heightened threat environment and they weren't too specific about what was going on. Now, all of these stories sound scary, but the good news is the G20 summit is coming to Miami in December. So, there are other explanations for some of these things, but not all of them cuz there's also the rest of the world to consider.

35 33 countries have also started warning and preparing their citizens. Now, if you look closely at this map, a lot of these countries have actually had this advice of preparation for years. In fact, FEMA has told Americans to keep 3 days of supplies for decades. Japan does it because of their earthquakes. Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic, those states do it because they share a border with Russia, not because of Iran. So, a good chunk of the news about these countries preparing is actually just old news, but some of the warnings are genuinely new.

13 On October 22nd, for example, the UK launched something called be ready, their three-year plan, and they're asking every household to keep 3 days of supplies and food that they don't have to cook, things like a radio, power bank, cash, medicine, things like that. Their defense secretary said that there could be state sponsored attacks on infrastructure which is what the world is afraid Iran might do. Now the truth is there's no evidence that these countries are preparing for any specific event but they are telling people to prepare for some event in the future just in case. And again I think it's the timing of it and the language that's concerning about it. Okay then. So then the question is, well, what might that supposed event that they're preparing us for be? And when might it potentially happen? So let's get into some of those theories. And before I explain those theories, here's how you can protect yourself and your family against potential AI attacks by removing your personal information from the internet.

13 Because as we move toward a digital world, our digital identity and personal data is being collected and sold. And that's because right now there are hundreds of companies called data brokers that are legally collecting our personal information like our name, home address, our phone numbers, and even our relatives and then selling it to anyone with a credit card. And that's why this segment is sponsored by Delete Me. I've personally been a member since April 2024, and they've scanned thousands of listings and removed dozens of instances of someone selling my private information. They have easily saved me many, many hours of trying to find this all myself and getting this info removed. Thankfully, Delete Me just runs in the background automatically and I don't have to do anything. They're recently named the number one data removal service by Wire Cutter and real people are actually doing the removal work. It's not some outsourced third party. It'll help protect you from the risk of your data being out there in the wrong hands, which is getting more important as we move toward a digital age of surveillance. It takes about 5 minutes to set up. The link is down below or you can go to join elite.com/andre20 to get 20% off. Thank you to Delete Me for sponsoring this segment. And now, let's get back to it. Okay, so let's start with the least scary explanation for what's happening in this crazy world right now. The first theory says that what's happening in the world is the algorithmic cycle boosted by the most powerful emotion in the world, fear. And that's because the midterm elections are on November 3rd. And fear is one of the oldest tools that there is for getting people to do things. Scared people buy things, right? They show up to places.

38 And both political parties know this and they both use it. They just use different fears. So, here's a test that you can try. Ask a friend with different politics than you whether they've heard anything about the power grid going down or this 90-day military preparation. There's a good chance that they'll have no idea what you're talking about because their algorithm is scaring them about something completely different. Now, we don't all share one news cycle anymore. We all have a different picture of reality and part of this panic could be about getting people to vote a certain way which means if that is true it should fade after the elections. So keep an eye on that. But there is something else that fear is very good at doing. It's effective at getting your attention and attention is important to advertisers. Advertisers pay money, right? So naturally, this cycle could just be about that. Fear is also extremely effective at getting people to buy things. See, when the UK told people to stock up, for example, sales went up almost overnight. There was one retailer that reported their torch sales were up 284%.

53 And some supermarket chains saw tin food sales jump 40% in just one weekend. These are huge boosts, and those boosts are very important, especially towards the end of the year. By the way, this has happened before. This happened in 2017. The US public was briefly terrified, if you remember, that we could have a war with North Korea. So, of course, people started to prepare. One US emergency food company said its sales doubled. My favorite example of this though happened before from 1961.

25 The US and the Soviet Union were in a standoff over Berlin. And Life magazine did a story called You Can Protect Yourself from Nuclear Attack with a letter from the president. The government handed out about 22 million copies of its Fallout Shelter Manual. And basically, a whole new industry appeared almost overnight. Right in July 1961, there were about 40 fallout companies building fallout shelters. By October, about 120 had government approval with hundreds operating without it, right? Plus survival stores. They were selling air filters and food kits and all sorts of things. Then the Berlin crisis cooled off and by 1962 roughly 600 of those companies gone out of business and one of those companies auctioned off its bunkers which people used as garden sheds. So basically fear built a whole industry and that's because again fear sells product and it's also the end of the year remember when every company wants a strong fourth quarter. Now realistically though if you think about it canned food is not exactly where the real money is. A 3-day emergency kit might be like a one-time purchase for most people for maybe $100.

40 But if you really want to follow the money just look at Fortress, right? They want things like micro grids and battery storage and portable nuclear reactors for 200 bases. That is worth billions and billions of dollars over many, many years. Stockpiles of ammo, fuel, medicine, plus that $41 million painkiller contract that was awarded without any competition. This is profit for the pharmaceutical companies. As we've talked about before, defense contractors will win whether this war happens or not because preparing for war is also a business. So this theory says some of this panic is completely algorithmically driven. Some of it is profitable and some of it is just being pushed by people who want to scared because again fear is attention and tension is capital. There's only one small problem with this theory.

32 The problem is that the algorithm did not create this fortress initiative and the algorithm did not declare a military emergency or send bulldozers to dig practice trenches at Fort Bragg. Usually, when a government makes decisions like that for the public to see, it's because it wants someone to notice something. And that brings us to theory number two. Okay, so the second theory gets a little bit darker. It says that this event, whatever it might be, is not really the point. The point is to create enough chaos in order to centralize the world under one central authority, one world government. See, there's a concept that economist Robert Higgs wrote about in a in a book from 1987 called Crisis and Leviathan. And he calls it the ratchet effect. The idea is that every major crisis gives the government new powers and when this crisis ends, those powers are there to stay. The government ratchets up during emergencies and maybe only partially comes down, right? And history actually backs this up. During World War II, for example, the US government started withholding income tax from our paychecks. and it was sold to us as a wartime measure to help fund the war. But the war ended in 1945 and those taxes are still withheld from our paychecks to this day. Another example, of course, is 9/11. After 9/11, President Bush declared a national emergency in 2001. That emergency has been renewed every single year by Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden, then Trump again.

14 It's been almost 25 years and technically we're still in it. The Patriot Act's temporary surveillance provisions were renewed again and again for almost two decades now. Also, during CO, the federal public health emergency lasted more than 3 years. And here's how this applies today. In July, the Secretary of War declared a military emergency. And that declaration is now being used to move drugs to the military outside the normal FDA approval process and that is useful to the pharmaceutical companies. Also, the UK's campaign is not a 3-week campaign. It is now a three-year program and Fortress is this plan for the military to operate independently for 90 days. So, we are told to keep food in stock for 3 days while they get 90 days. So once you build these kinds of infrastructures, the point is that it just kind of becomes the new normal, right? Like always be ready for anything at any moment. Now here's where some people take this a step further. They say that governments around the world are using this fear to move toward a more centralized and coordinated system, essentially a one world government. And in 2015, all 193 UN member states signed on to something called Agenda 2030. Now, around the same time, a lot of the infrastructure for a more controlled financial and identity system also started being built. The European Union requires every member state to offer citizens a digital identity wallet by the end of 2026. And earlier this year, the UK tried to make a digital ID mandatory to prove you have the right to work. As I've covered in my last few videos, the rails for this programmable money are being built through central bank digital currencies and stable coins. Then at the G20 meeting just a couple days ago, the US Secretary of State told the world's foreign ministers that we're in a quote moment of choosing and that these crises require collective solutions. So if you're someone who's inclined to see a pattern, I don't think it's very hard to find one here, which is that you have to sell the fear, then sell the solution, and then comes the control. So as the world goes through these collective crises, all the governments around the world each come out of them a little more powerful than before. And they're all building the same tools, digital ID, programmable money, and emergency powers. All of these regional crises are just quote opportunities to centralize more power. And that of course brings us to theory number three. Now, the third theory is not something I wanted to make this video about, but I think it's important to tell you anyway. And this theory says that this is not just about the governments expanding their power.

14 It says that what might happen very soon is a nuclear attack on Iran. Because here's the timeline. In October, President Trump said that the US would not strike Iran again before the midterm elections, which remember happens on November 3rd. The Financial Times later reported why. It's because Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a multi-day strike ready for the weekend of October 10th, bigger than the original strikes in February. Trump blocked it because of the election. One source told the paper that restarting the war after both the American and Israeli elections was quote not an unreasonable scenario. Remember, Netanyahu is in a very difficult position politically speaking.

56 Historically, his strongest position has been as a wartime prime minister, and he and Trump had a tense phone call this weekend supposedly. Netanyahu wants more strikes right after the midterms, and Trump wants to give negotiations more time. Now, on November 1st, Tucker Carlson posted a warning that the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. Now, to be fair, that's not the first time Tucker Carlson has predicted this. He has said this many times in the past, and it hasn't come true. But if it does, the target would most likely be a site called Pickax Mountain in Iran. And here's Trump saying it.

42 >> And again, a big portion of what we've done, maybe 99% of it, is to make sure that Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon. Those sites have been blown up. We may have to blow up another one. Pickaxe Mountain. That's we're not seeing a lot of activity there, but if we do, we'll blow it up immediately. >> Now, why this is important is because remember that military emergency declaration that was being used to fasttrack those painkillers to troops, right? Well, back in July, Secretary Hegsath formally determined that there was a military emergency or that there's a potential for one involving a heightened risk to US forces of an attack with a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear agent. That is a very serious threat. What would provoke Iran to go that far to use that kind of a force? Perhaps if they experienced a nuclear strike. And if that happens, what would Iran do to retaliate? Right? Their top security official said undersea internet cables, data centers, and AI facilities across the Gulf. And maybe what we're seeing right now are attacks like that, but on a smaller scale, right? Like on November 1st, for example, someone hacked Ukraine's official air raid app, and they sent false warnings of radiation chemical attacks to people's phones, right? There's also the attacks on the grocery stores and their freezers. So hopefully nothing of this scale happens, but if it does, that is the logic behind this theory. And I guess we'll know within a few days whether this theory turns out to be true or not. Now, if you made it this far, here's what I personally think. I don't necessarily think of these as separate ideas. I think all of these theories are happening right now to some extent. And once you understand these theories through the lens of incentive and who profits, then you can start to separate truth from fiction. Like for example, the fear, right? That is 100% real and it is being monetized by the algorithms, by corporations. I mean, think about how many products companies have probably sold, how much extra food and water and camping gear they've all sold because of this story. It's being used by the politicians right before an election on both sides. It's being used by the influencers. I am part of this, right?

08 If I had titled this video something like the world is going to be okay. Nothing to see here. Would you have clicked on this video? Probably not. These are all powerful incentives. Governments are using this moment of fear to also expand their power because that's what governments have always done in a crisis. So again, once you understand the game of incentive, then you can start to see the truth, which is not to say that there is no truth. I think there is a very real risk of escalation with Iran in the next few weeks. The good news, I think, is that not every scary thing you read is holding up right now. Like you might have seen claims that November 17th is the day that the lights are supposed to go out, right? Part of that rumor actually comes from The Simpsons. Now, to be fair, some of their predictions have been amazingly accurate. They predicted Sig Freed and Royy's Tiger attack and Disney buying Fox and President Trump going down the escalator before he was president. But to be fair, that show has also run for more than 700 episodes. So, of course, some of those jokes are going to land as predictions and they're going to come true. Now, for this event, the November 17th clip people are sharing is actually from a 2023 Thanksgiving episode. And here's what that looked like. Granny Lisa, why do we light a candle every Thanksgiving?

27 In remembrance of the great blackout that almost destroyed our town when we actually had to write things down by hand. >> It started on a cold November day back when you could actually see snow outside of a museum. I will say though, what's interesting about that clip is that on November 17th, FEMA and the FCC really are running a nationwide test of the emergency alert system. Now, it's supposed to be for just TV and radio only, and it's supposed to last about a minute, but we'll see if the Simpsons predicted it. I just thought it was kind of funny. Another thing I found kind of funny is that the first three videos I downloaded from the news all start with the same messaging. It's a nightmare scenario. It's a nightmare scenario.

12 It's a nightmare scenario. >> The Pentagon preparing for a nightmare scenario. >> A nightmare scenario. >> Nightmare scenario. >> And when they're all on brand like that, that usually means they want us to believe something. There's some incentive there. The other version I keep seeing people coming to is that AI is going to shut down the power grid. Again, this is also very, very possible. Now, whether it's intentional or not remains to be seen. Personally, I'm not panicking. I'm not making any dramatic moves based on any dates. I'm not selling my investments and just holding cash. But a couple months ago, I did make a video about preparing in case of something like this. That was at the start of the Iran conflict when the Straight of Hermuz was first closed. I made a whole video for how I prepared. I made a checklist of all the items I stocked up on, and I feel like that was an important thing for me to do for my own peace of mind. Generally, I think it's a good idea to be prepared. The link is down below for those kinds of videos if you want to check them out.

10 It's in the premium member section where I post a day early and I post my extra thoughts on investing. But in general, I think it's a good idea to keep a few days of water, few days of food and essentials at home because it's just cheap insurance. The military is preparing for 90 days. 3 days for your family is very reasonable. Have some cash on hand outside the bank, maybe a little bit of silver and gold. I certainly hope that we avoid a nuclear attack. I really do. And I hope there's no blackout or AI attack and that this is all just the algorithms doing what they do best, which is scaring all of us into giving up our attention and our capital. But we'll know which of these theories was closest to the truth soon enough, I guess. As always, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. Smash the like button. Subscribe if you haven't already. I'd love to see you back here next time. Take care.
