00 All right team, welcome. We are live. Welcome to our prep webinar 4. Uh so today we are looking at last week as a recap or last uh sorry last uh prep webinar. Um it's really important that we get guys that what we're doing is really going to be life transforming. uh what we're looking at is life uh what we're doing is life transforming and the significance and relevance of what we're doing is only going to be significant to us if we really put some context at stake and one of those is really looking that hey this could be one of our biggest lifetime achievements but this also um you know it's not a walk in the park it is something that hey something to happen to us we've got to look at our life in context to say hey have we have we lived life Have we prepared uh to um transition from life? Have we prepared uh leaders around us? Have we prepared and are we creating what we want to call uh a legacy? And the mountain will have many tests along the way. And the tests along the way are going to be are going to be those obstacles, those hurdles, that change in weather, dealing with people around us that are very much like people in our life. And how we deal with that on the mountain is kind of how we deal with life. So it is really important that we understand that you can really create an amazing experience and an amazing interpretation to what this mountain and leadership program will be for you but it's really going to come from you playing all out. So uh as a recall uh uh as recap from the last session we said we're going to look at you know if you died today what would your tombstone stay? What would people say? What would your obituary say? Um and um you know we also looked at uh in the session we looked at what those people would say about you. This is our perception of what they would um and then we really want to find out from contacting those people what is it they would say. Some of them might have written a write up. Some of them uh you can uh collect that together or you might draft from the points that you've gotten what your speech, your eulogy, your tombstone would say. So, that said, we're going to go right into uh we're going to go right into having a listen to some of what you've prepared. So, who's got something prepared as a write up? We'd love to hear from you what that says.

36 Who's got theirs ready? Please raise your hand if you've got yours ready. >> Is it what some somebody wrote? We're just reading that out. Or is it >> something prepared? Yeah, >> it could it could be either. The intention was um well as the assignment says is to really um you know in your in your words but you want to get it from what people did. So if if you contacted three or four people we may not have time for you to go through everything but if you collect that together you can. So if you have something you've written in addition to what people wrote then you can read that together.

09 >> No I haven't written anything but I've only got their versions but that's fine. I won't read it. >> Okay. I would love to hear that. Uh Brit's also got a hand up. So let's start with Brit. Debie, if you can have yours ready to go after Brit um what somebody has written about you if you if you haven't got something written. But please people, this needs to be written. You need to really you need to look at this is what it would currently say as at now, right? Um and there's a view like perception I have of myself. I'll give you an example. I thought I have a view of myself as being a risk taker, as being entrepreneurial.

44 And one of my closest friends um you know uh a couple years ago you know I was talking about me and my entrepreneur thing just laughing at me and he's like yeah you all talk and you don't execute and you've been saying that for how long and when is the next time you're going to do xyz or what have you done you've been talking about this particular issue or idea for a while um and you haven't done something about it right and it was a real ego prick moment to see there's a perception that I have that this doesn't have. And I I I you know, initially I got really triggered with him. Um and it took a while for me to but I'm al I'm so close to him that I could share with him later on to say you really pissed me off when you said that last time and you made me go and do XYZ in in a way he provoked me to take action and he led me to take one or two investment/ entrepreneurial ventures. Um and a couple year later on just recently again he's been uh you know kind of uh pricking my ego by talking about some of the leadership things that I want to do for our community our society and he's challenging me as to say well why you suddenly want to do this what have you done so far you know and I realized that he's in his view the years that I was playing a particular role in this committee he wasn't uh around he has no idea of but she's not aware of it. So, it is what it is, but it's it gives you a sense of what people think of you might be distinct to what you have of yourself. And sometimes it's a wakeup call. So, Brick, let's start with you.

20 >> Um, hi. Can you hear me? >> We can hear you. So, I just wanted to start off by saying that this has been an entire life struggle for me to be aligned with my family and I love them so much and they've always loved me, but they always saw my life as they think it should be. And um I started off college by going to school for film and acting.

50 And I liked that for a while until I was at the lowest point of my life where I was like 30 lbs lighter and wanting to change everything physically about myself and just mentally like not okay. And they wanted me to keep pushing. And I've always wanted to work with animals, but that was seen as dangerous or not as um fruitful for money to to do that. So my mom and my sister are very controlling in nature. That's who they are. And it was a constant struggle and fight for me to be who I wanted to be my whole life. from being a ton boy my whole life and them wanting me to wear dresses and put makeup on and just be somebody I'm not. So, um I had read a few years ago that if you are true to who you are and you fully 100% go on your path, even if you're transitioning and at first it's a struggle, the people who love you will eventually come to support you if they really love you. So for a few years it was a giant struggle and I've never been more happy now and more supported by my family and for them to see me the way I want to be seen and that makes me very happy.

16 So uh I wrote I wasn't sure if we were supposed to write what we thought that they would say. I guess it's kind of a mix between >> Yeah. So it will basically be like we shared on screen. So you want to see what we have here like you know Ronnie was or Britney was >> this is who she was. This is what she accomplished. This is what he or she will be remembered for. Anything any stories or anything else they would like to say. So by the way if any of you right now like Devi I know it's important we really listen to Brit share. This is how we're really creating the sense of community that we are and some of us will see ourselves and identify with our version of what Britney's already what she shared. We we many of us can already identify with that. Um but we would really want to listen in. Um if you have some notes together and you want to make a small modification uh you know try to do that when we when we have a gap in between if you want to read yours out today.

12 Otherwise you can do that by video and share it on the chat. But um we do want to have at least a couple more share after Brit. So Brit over to you. >> So I'll read a little bit from each. I I contacted my mom and stepdad and sister and it pretty amazing the common things that people had said. Um so I said Brittney Arnold. She was full of life. She was kind, loving, and had a huge heart. She loved animals and they loved her back. She was brave. She was talented and she had dreams and aspirations that she went after. It was inspiring for others. Most of us talk about doing a fraction of the things that she does and they don't get around to all of them. But Britney never put life on hold. She did all the things and then dreamt of more. She lived a hundred lifetimes in her one life and overcame struggles that one shouldn't have to.

06 But that's what made her stronger and that's what made her her. She has seen things most of us only see in books. She will be remembered by her family, friends, and animals. She touched many lives and her soulmate was her best friend Leo, her dog. And now they are together again. So the thing that did surprise me is little stories that my family told. And starting off with my mom, she said that I was climbing before I could ever walk. And the first time she saw me climbing was I was a about a year old and she walked into the TV room and I was on top of the TV structure and that's when she realized she couldn't leave me alone because I would climb whatever I would see. And that I love the moon and every night before bed I would have to look for the moon before I could even talk. I would look and point and that was one of my first words um everybody said how much I loved animals and how important they are to me. Um that I pushed with passion whatever it was that I wanted to do ice hockey acting and a couple other stories were we went to swim with dolphins and when I was 10 all I mean this was before I realized that that's probably not good to do. Um but we try to go to humane places. Um all the dolphins swam to me and around me. So I went in for a second time and they were just they gravitated towards me. And at that same place there was this bird that I sat and talked with that was in a cage in the lobby and it kind of yelled at everybody and walked away. But I sat there for so long that the bird liked me and would talk to me. And every time I would come by, it would come near me. Um, the animals were always so important to me.

13 She was kind, smart, beautiful, and lit up any room that she walked into. She loved the outdoors, sunsets, and animals. Again, I could write a book. There's so many stories about Britney. between her and her dog were a bond between a human and animal that I've never seen anywhere else. They were almost one. She loved to travel and meet new people and she saw people for who they really are.

44 She took people in and it didn't matter where they were from or how old they were. She always formed her own opinions about anyone or anything and didn't listen to what anyone else said. She went against the grain. And I learned so much as a mother from knowing her. I see now why she was such a challenge. Because she had aspirations that most people could never have or do.

19 And my sister said, "Britney's always been a free and kind spirit. She loves animals and adventure, and she's most happy when she's traveling and surrounded by nature. She loves rock climbing and animals and anything related to any African animal. She's loved Africa since she was little and the Lion King came out. She made it her life goal to travel and be around animals and challenge herself. She's an adventure seeker in our family. She's done incredible things like skydiving, cage diving with great white sharks, worked closely with elephants and all types of reptiles, and plans to climb Kilamanjaro. There's no doubt in my mind she won't accomplish this. She will she will and I believe it will happen on her birthday. I genuinely believe that is kids. I don't know what that word means. She's an incredible sister, daughter, and aunt to my kids. She has so much love and excitement that she brings to our family. Without her, our lives would be less exciting, have less laughter, and there would be an enormous hole that could never be filled.

35 She is the kindest soul when it comes to animals. I'll always remember she asked for a book for Christmas, how to hold animals. She wanted to know the exact right way to hold each type of animal from something small to something large. That's the type of amazing human she is. Someone who's gentle and deeply cares for others, but someone who is determined and strong. She's someone that's dedicated and achieves all of her goals. No matter what or how long it takes, she'll forever be remembered for her love of life, animals, acro, and humor. No matter what what whenever I think of my little sister, the thought of her always fills me with warmth, love, and hope for the future.

20 I love you, Brit. Brit, your big sis. >> Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Brit, how was that like for you? What was the experience going through that? >> Really emotional. Um, especially when I look back and think that the things they pushed me so hard to do or against are the things that they ended up accepting and loving about me. And when I went from acting in the film industry to working with animals, they look back like, "Oh my gosh, that's a no-brainer."

59 Like, she's that's always been her path. And that they all accepted that and put that as like their main thing. makes me feel seen and loved and I'm happy that finally for the only time in my life that we're all aligned and I'm accepted who I am. >> Oh, awesome. Awesome. I think it was powerful hearing that. Also, just just to add kiss, you asked me means fate or destiny or luck. Uh like it was meant to be. I feel like if I had done this five or ten years ago, it would be a very different story. So >> Oh, really?

39 >> Yeah. That >> is that because you you've done more in the last five t years. >> Well, I have, but I think that what I would say about myself other than personalitywise would be a little different than what they would say. >> Oh, awesome. Anyone else want to share any thoughts of what it was like just hearing Brit read that out? one or two quick thoughts. >> That was really very touching. Um so thank you for sharing that with us, Brett. I thought that was really sweet.

10 Um and I think um it probably gives me more context in terms of when I go and ask some people as well. I'll ask them to have a bit of a deeper think about it and come up with something um a bit lengthier cuz I think probably if I send them a WhatsApp and say, "Hey, can you do this?" They're probably going to, some of them at least are just going to come back with something jovial and funny or whatever and they're not going to think about it too deeply. But it seems like your family thought about that pretty deeply.

39 >> So be you haven't done yours. >> I haven't done mine yet, but I've got um I watched the uh video from the last call, so I know what I've got to do, but I'm still planning to do it. So I'll share a video on WhatsApp once I've done it. >> Okay. So definitely share videos. I do also want to share for those of you that want to or have your own personal YouTube channels, you can upload it as an unlisted video, which means it's not publicly available, but at least it's there in your memory if you want to share it with us on a link like if it's a long length is what why I'm saying if you want to upload it or Vimeo. Um, and also there's an option if anybody wants to um read it out on one of the future sessions when we finish inside of the schedule time. Happy to stay on for anyone. We could probably have time to do one at each. So, if you haven't done that, uh, let me get, uh, another share.

26 So, who's going next? Deia, are you ready? >> Or I've got I've got two I've got two or three. So, can I just pick one or two? Or because the one's from a family, the one's from a friend, or do you both? >> Do you both? >> Yeah. Yeah, if they're if they're not too. Um, yeah, they're pretty much uh So, I'll do one from a friend first and then a family. Okay. Did uh Debbie was my soul sister, one of those rare sisters who lifts you up simply by being who she is. I'm not sure if she fully realized how accomplished she really was. She bought and owned her own home and somehow always managed to step into a new job just as one chapter came to an end. Her comical date stories never failed to make me laugh. And yet through it all, she never gave up on love. And she did find someone to share her life with. She was a beautiful soul who lived in every way in every way to empower others through giving so much of herself. She showed what she really means to be loving, caring, and present for the people around her. I know this deeply because even when I was recovering from a biopsy, she still came to help me at my workshop. Hey, Gorgeous Event. That was Devie. always thinking of others, always showing up with kindness. I was always be grateful for that moment and for her.

08 Don't know why I'm shaking, but anyway, Debbie was such a delight. She was >> Sorry, that is that the same person or another one. >> Yeah, it's a a very short one. Yeah. And then >> who was the first one from? >> Oh, that was from a friend. >> From a friend. And this one is as well. Debbie was such a delight. She was accomplished in so many ways, the fitness and mindset. She will definitely be remembered for her giggles we had and her generosity. Remembering our girly sleepovers, showing our gaps in our teeth. Haha. Although she never um she had she never had hers filled. Always great to see her and how she was accomplished in her life and overcome milestones with all the challenges she has entailed. now owns her own home and creates heavenly places for her mom and her friends and her family including me to come and re relax. That was another friend. And then I have a family one. Um okay so Debbiey's uology. If I was asked to speak about my sister Debbie, I would begin with the s simplest truth. She is one of those uh one of those most positive souls I've ever known. Debbie has always carried a light within her. One that shows up in a constant smile. Her warmth and the way she lifts others without even trying.

36 She didn't just live for herself. She lived in service to others through her dedication to health, fitness, and genuine care for people. She became someone others looked up to. Not just for what she achieved, but for how she made them feel encouraged, seen, and to be stronger. Over the course of her life, she has touched not just a few, but hundreds and maybe even thousands of lives in ways that will continue long after any single moment. When I think of a memory that captures her spirit, I go back to her 40th birthday. She looked absolutely stunning, beautiful, radiant, confident, and full of joy. The room was filled with love, laughter, and family.

23 And you could feel just how much she was meant she she meant to everyone. That night wasn't just a celebration of her age, but her life, her presence, and her incredible energy she brings into the world. If I had one wish for Divi, it would be that she finds a deep sful soulful connection, a partner who sees her fully matches her spirit and walks beside her in years ahead. Because someone with a heart like hers deserves her love that reflects it back to her completely.

58 Debbiey's story is not just about what she's done. It's about how she's made people feel, how she's inspired them to become better, and how her light continues to shine in all of us. And that is something that will never fade. With love, her sister, that was that, >> right? >> Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. How was that for you, Debbie? >> Quite shaky, but yeah. No, it's okay. It was a bit weird. It's weird because, you know, I don't really ask people to, you know, speak about me or whatever, but it's nice to hear that what I intend to do in the world, you know, people say it. So, it's quite interesting to hear that.

48 >> Yeah. Mhm. >> Awesome. Awesome. Anybody anything that stood out uh from what you're getting about Devi and how she cares for those around her or Yeah, Brit. >> I'm just really excited to meet her and I'm happy that she's part of our group. >> Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Brit, uh, Bea, did you want to say something as well? Yeah, I mean I know Debbie pretty well and I I would agree with you know everything that's been said and um you know you can I think one thing stood out is when they talk about the light in you you know that you feel that warmth and love from you you know uh even as one of your friends I think it's it's nice to hear other people saying the same thing that I feel as well.

36 >> Awesome. Awesome. Brilliant. And uh welcome Nikesh. Um just Nikesh. >> Hi. >> Hi. How are you? >> I'm good. How are you guys? >> Good, good, good. Are you ready for today's session? >> I I am, but unfortunately I haven't got a huge amount of time. I got about 15 minutes, but I thought I would just join for whatever it's worth and then catch up on live stream. So, sorry about that. >> No problem. But we've had we've had two people read out their obituaries of other people's letters to them um or notes to them. Um, now we're just about to get maybe one more share. Um, do you have yours?

14 >> I do. I'd love to be able to share it now if that's okay. >> Yeah. Are you able to read or whatever while you >> Yeah, I am. I am. So, I asked um three >> and whoever wants to go next, please raise your hand if you're also somebody who wants to share today and you've got it ready. >> Should I start? >> Yeah. If uh Okay. >> If you're ready, go for So I asked um three people. Um I asked my father, my eldest son, and my wife.

41 >> My wife um found it a bit too difficult, so she didn't do it. So my el my my oldest daughter did it. So she's third in the list of age. So I'll start with my dad's. He said um Nesh is by birth a blessed stole at a very young age. He learned how to overcome smaller setbacks. And he has an I can and I will attitude to life. His inexhaustible optimism and confident disposition are his endearing qualities that have made him a winner in all his personal endeavors. All this makes him a lovable spirit and a great companion.

11 Okay. And then I've got my eldest son who writes, um, "Anyone who knows my dad knows that he's one of the most hardworking individuals there is in his career. He has climbed to top of his profession through dedication, discipline, and just a ridiculous work ethic. Nothing has ever been handed to him. He has started right at the bottom and climbed all the way to the top. Despite all of that, he always puts family first, no matter how busy or stressful life inevitably gets. He has always put his love and support for his family above anything else. It's partly the reason that it's great to see him deciding to do this. He has put himself first, and it's not very often that happens. He is a person who shows up, listens to what you say, supports you in whichever way he can, and make sure that everyone around him is okay. He's someone who deeply believes in setting goals and chasing them. He is someone who decides where he wants to go and just keeps climbing to whatever that is, no matter what the obstacles may be. For me personally, he's always been someone I turn to when I'm trying to figure things out. Whether it's advice, encouragement, or just someone to talk through an idea with, he's always there.

11 He has a way of just simplifying seemingly complicated things and actually just making them seem much more manageable than first thought. Which brings us to now climbing Kilimanjaro. It feels like the perfect metaphor for the kind of person he is. It takes preparation, courage, and a willingness to keep going even when the path gets difficult. These are the qualities you always had. So, even though this is a real mountain, it just seems like he's been climbing mountains all of his life.

36 For me and the family for his goals and Kilamanjaro probably won't be his last summit. Thank you for everything, Dad. Every single thing and I've talked about now go smash Kilimanjaro. Okay. And then, um my daughter um she did it last minute. Uh my dad is the most hardworking man I know. Anyone who's had him had had the pleasure of meeting him can see that instantly. Not just in the way he talks about his goals, but in the way he carries himself and shows up for people around him. No matter how stressed or tired he might feel, he has always put his family before anything else. That kind of selflessness is exactly who he is. And it is something he has shown consistently throughout my entire life. As his daughter, I couldn't have asked for a better role model. He has taught me one of the most important lessons I will ever learn. that no matter how how hard things may get, you can always push through. Life isn't always easy and things don't always come to plan. But he has shown me that strength comes from continuing anyway.

29 From staying focused, for not giving up, and from believing that better things are always ahead if you're willing to work with him. With his support, I've been able to chase my dreams even in moments when they felt completely out of reach. There have been times when I doubted myself, where things just felt too big or too far away. But he never met me stay in that mindset. Knowing that he's always there supporting me no matter what has made all the difference in who I am today. He has been a true inspiration from such a young age.

55 Watching him work towards his own goals has taught me the real meaning of work ethic, dedication, and commitment. It's not just about saying you want something. It's about showing up every day and putting in the effort even when no one else seems sees it. It's about staying focused even when things get tough and not letting setbacks stop you from moving forward. Seeing the goals he has set and achieved over the past years is one of the main reasons I believe I can chase my own.

20 Through every job he has pushed himself to go above and beyond. Always striving to improve and move forward no matter what challenges were happening in the background. There were probably moments that were difficult. Moments where it would been easier to give up or settle for what that's that's not who he is. He is always keeps going step by step and eventually he achieved that goal. Watching that journey showed me that dreams aren't just wishes. something you build through hard work and determination. Very short left bit left.

47 I know she's gone on a bit seeing and hearing about everything he's done over the years. I have no doubt that he is going to absolutely smash Kimanjaro. It's such a huge challenge. If there is one thing I know it that he doesn't back down from challenges he faces them head on with a strength and mindset that refuses to quit. The climb is just an example of the way he lives his life. Always pushing himself, aiming high and proving that anything is possible. But more all than all of this, that achievement, what it means is the most he's the most kind person he is. Someone who puts others first, who supports the people he loves and leads by example in everything he does. He shaped the way I see the world, the way I approach challenges, and the way I believe in myself. Dad, thank you for being you.

24 Thank you for your strength, your support, and everything you have taught me both through your words and actions. Thank you for always believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. You've inspired me in more ways than I could ever fully explain. I'm so proud of being your daughter. Keep being you in every step of the way, especially on the climb. And if there's a moment you don't believe in yourself, always know I do. >> Awesome. How was that guys?

48 That was powerful, Nikesh. And uh I do want to share guys that we um uh one thing that also happens on the mountain is well a first of all what you have Nikesh is it's a brilliant one to carry with you um to read that letter and your hardest moments on the mountain. Um, definitely your daughters was powerful. But I also want to share that a lot of people have their family write them little post-it notes that they attach to their daily snack bags or give them something to write each day. Last last year we had uh some kids create a small kind of uh comic cartoon sketches for each day for the mom with some short write up which was awesome to see. Um, but thanks Nick for sharing that. Um, cool. Who is um uh Sedge? You said you had yours ready as well.

48 >> Sil, are you there? >> Hello. >> Hey, S. >> Hi. Hey, can you hear me, Ronnie? >> Yeah, we can. >> Yeah. Am I okay to just WhatsApp it to you? I don't really want to read it out. >> Okay. Do you want me to read it out? >> Uh, yeah, if you don't mind, I'll just um Sorry, let me just go into my WhatsApp. I'll send it to you now. Um, there's three. One's from Anil, my husband. One's from Rihanna, my daughter, and the other one's from my sister, Manisha.

28 I'll just um There you go. Sorry, I've just sent it. >> Okay. Um Okay. Any one in particular you want me to pick and read? >> Uh you can do it in order if you like. >> Okay, cool. Um just mindful of time. Um >> just maybe the first two then. Sorry, the first two seem to both be from Rihanna. Is it just Did you send it twice? Okay, sorry. It's fine. I thought it was long. That's fine. Well, I've got I've got from Rihanna twice. I don't know if that's the same one. Just check what you've sent me. You've sent me two from Rihanna. Uh I'll kick off, guys.

14 So, uh are you coming camera? >> Yeah. Um I'll just send you Rihanna's one. Sorry, I'll just send you Anel's one as well. Okay. Um, and if you come on camera as well, then I can just add as I'm reading out >> and welcome Ambi and Harit. >> Okay. Sorry. Yeah, >> I'm here. Can you see me? I don't know why.

49 >> No, we can't see you. Uh, so I can't spotlight you minus the video. Is that better? Can you see me now? >> Yeah, can see you. >> All right. >> Sorry, not feeling great. Sorry. >> No problem. How was the hike for you? >> Yeah, the hike was really good. It was tough, but it was good. >> So, you're not We did all four peaks from the hike >> from the night.

22 >> Okay. >> Okay. Cool. Well, well done on doing it. It's the right that we need bodywise. Um, okay, cool. So, we'll go over it and recap for those that have joined. Today, we're going over this. I'll I'll go over SGES as the last one, and then we've got to go into some additional content. Um, so this is from Rihanna, which is Serge's daughter. Mom was the kind of woman who can run a household. Noise. Mom was the kind of woman who can run a household, solve a crisis, and still ask if you've eaten all before 9:00 a.m.

59 Equal parts warm-hearted and strongly driven with a smile that reassures you and a look at that says, "Don't push it." She moves through life with quiet strength and a sharp sense of humor, making the hard days lighter and the good days even better. Just by being there, even from across the world, what she's accomplished, raising her family with nothing but love and laughter, she masters the art of finding lost things that were supposedly definitely not there 5 minutes ago, and of being right most of the time. She builds a home that feels safe, warm, and a little bit loud in the best way. She proves that success isn't about winning and medals. It's about the people who feel lucky to call her theirs. She will be remembered for her legendary sayings, her hugs that fix everything, and her ability to make any house feel like home. She fills rooms nothing with nothing but love, laughter, and comfort. Her laugh is familiar. Her advice is constant, and her presence is the glue that holds it all together.

58 Even on ordinary days, she creates moments that stick with you forever. anything else. There are always stories about her giving the best and sometimes brutally honest advice and somehow knowing what has happened before anyone tells her. The mom instinct. She has that six sense that only moms seem to have. She loves her family and friends fiercely and makes sure they know they know it every single day in a 100 little ways. Whether it's a text to check in, a plate of food you didn't ask for, or a perfectly timed I told you so, she shows up always. And that's why she's the best.

34 >> S come on camera. We want to see you. Um this one, next one is from Munch, which is her sister Manisha. Um Sil was fun, outgoing, social and just naturally clever. She's the one who brings the energy without even trying. She can talk to anyone, get people. She's got that mix of confidence and fun that makes people want to be around her. She'll be remembered for giving good advice to her nieces from uh uh Emily and for being kind and loving Ava. She's a perfect sister-in-law and a great uh for giving life advice from Jonathan.

13 She's like a butterfly always fluttering around. That's Manisha. When I look back over the years, >> sorry, this one's Anil now. >> This is from Anel. So this is from her husband Anel. When I look back over the years, I see a life built on love, laughter, and lessons learned together. As your dad would say, being married to you for nearly 30 years has been the cornerstone of my journey. You've been my partner, my friend, and the person who challenges and completes me in ways I never imagined possible. Our children are our proudest achievement. Watching them grow into strong, kind, and capable individuals fills me with a sense of purpose that words could never fully capture. They have done well for themselves not just because of what I taught them but you mainly because of your values. They have built on those lessons with their own integrity and strength. You have managed to inspire and guide them along the way more than I could have done. I've always believed that everyone has a story worth hearing, talking to people without judgment, without pretense. And this is just you.

17 Take everyone at face value and not judge. You make connections in listening and in making others feel valued for who they are. That, I think, is something rare and worth holding on to. Your bucket list remains a living reminder that life's adventure doesn't end at any age. You still want to explore new places, try new things, and never stop learning. It's not about what you collect, but what you experience. That's why you have created your own bucket list book. Although you value your independence, the truth is without you, I'd be lost. You shape my days and provide me with balance. Together, we've built more than a life. We've built a legacy of love. And for that, I'm endlessly thankful.

00 Awesome. S, how was that for you? >> I'm still finding it difficult to uh Yeah, I mean, he Anil sent me that when I was at work in front of all the children, and I just broke down. I wasn't expecting him to send it at work. Um, it's just all lovely. I don't I don't really know what to say. I couldn't read it because I wouldn't have been able to read it. >> Awesome. >> It's been a really really amazing exercise that I have told others about, not people on this group, but just friends and family just suggesting that they do the same. It's I find it really empowering.

44 >> It is. It is, guys. It really puts life into context and also sometimes gives people an opportunity where uh we don't encourage uh vulnerable sharing and contribution. Um but uh it is a great space for us to be able to um create that that bond uh and clearing. So thanks SGE. Uh I was going to be surprised if I didn't hear anything about food, but thankfully it was there. it was mentioned um about you and your food which is awesome. Um all right, cool. Um Dick Shu got your messages.

19 She's listening in. Uh sent a message on the chat, guys. Okay, cool. And she's in from herit device, I'm guessing. All right, guys. We're going to crack on. If we anybody else wants to read theirs or has something uh written up, then you can uh Nikish, I know just before you going, one of the things we'll be looking at is uh the team roles. Before you go, where is Nikesh? Has he gone? Ah, we lost him. Okay, cool. He did volunteer himself for something which I'll explain uh as we get to it. Now, going through this exercise, what I want us to get and a big part of why this is leadership is there are moments on the mountain where we are going to go into state of um the mountain or the weather happening to us. Now, that's kind of like if life happened to you and the one thing certain about life is death happened to you. uh today I'm not saying on the mountain but let's just say it happened today at the time you took your did this exercise what you've read is basically what people would have said of you now for some of us who have done the exercise and have shared some of us have done the exercise and not shared some of us have not yet done the exercise uh but as you've heard from those that have done it reading the exercise versus actually doing the exercise and reading the responses is a whole different thing so it really does matter that you take the time to whether it's messaging your dad, whether it's your brother, whether you have that uh you know might have a slightly strained or distant relationship. Some people may or may not reply. Um it is an opportunity for us to really allow us to see how we occur for others. Now that is an example of where life is happening to you. Um where life is happening through you.

06 This is where you start to basically take ownership your life of your life. This is where you start to create things in your life that you've always wanted to do but maybe never have gotten around to. Maybe you've had some limiting belief around it like in availability of time, of money, of access, of freedom. And staying at the effect of life happening to you, life stalling you, life holding you back keeps keeping you where you are.

36 life happening to you is you know what you've uh read out uh that should say the word happened and uh if you were to create or write this how many of you see that there's something missing that you wish it would be there or you know now that you've heard this you're like hey I need to be more X I need to do more I need to achieve Y I need to fulfill on certain goals so altering who we're being prioritizing maybe certain relationships um uh achieving certain bucket list items that we haven't is kind of like a wakeup call. So who here heard something or you got a response from people or even as you heard uh others shares right now you've realized maybe in something that they've done or not done um that you're like hey I want to make sure that's in mine like I want to design my life I want to create my legacy. So who heard certain things missing or that you know you're working on that later when your actual deadline arrives your death line when that actually arrives that you will um be grateful that you took the action to fulfill on that you leapt into that you transformed that relationship you did something new or different who has something that's you've gotten is missing and if that were there in what you read That would really >> fulfill fill your heart that you fulfilled on your legacy.

16 >> Hina, >> um not so much missed out on what everyone said. That's so touching and so beautiful. Um but a couple of years ago I actually uh got asked by somebody um or came into the thought process that if I was introducing myself to you for the first time and I was 90 years old uh what would I say about or or how could I introduce myself and that's when I thought hang on I don't want to say all the mundane stuff like work, family like it's great but it's not >> I wanted to be at that time I decided it's going to be a roller coaster of a life. So when I am introducing myself as my 90-year-old um I climbed Killy, I did this I you know very extraordinary things. Um so that's the mantra that I'll be taking on the mountain as well like you know this is my 90-year-old story.

26 >> Awesome. So um sorry what what were some of the points that you want included in that? um a lot of um you know um adventure things. So it's it's really my bucket list items um and and in that it's um you know how you were talking about ego right? So when I actually asked my sister to do this for me the um like what we have to you know as like our tombstone exercise I I got a lot of negative feed feedback saying well you know what you're not ready for Killy um you need to maybe push it for next year and I said oh okay but anyway that sorted itself out um because we we actually went for a disco run um on yesterday in the morning and she's so like I could just do it with no with no huffing, puffing, no nothing.

26 And she goes, "Oh, >> I I actually take my words back because I I actually didn't think and you're so fast. Like I was really struggling. So now she's going to do it for me, you know." So yeah, just things like that and being a yes person more than anything, you know, um doing things that I always wanted to do like kayaking and you know. >> Awesome. Awesome. So I want you to be very specific. Add you know some points there that you want there. Um we're going to have this and I want you guys to be sharing this uh on the on the chat, right? So like in my case, I would love to say I'm an Everest summit, right? to somebody to summit uh Mount Everest. I'd love to have my legacy board say he launched this amazing protein supplement uh health food range and uh supplement range, right? Uh which I've not launched, right? Which is something on my to-do list that I've not yet leapt to fulfill upon, right? So, there are things like that that are still missing on my legacy board, right?

32 There are various B business and entrepreneurial accomplishments and financial levels of wealth that I would love to get to which I've not fulfilled upon. Right? So I would love my legacy board to say that. I'd love my legacy board to now the legacy board really is not what somebody is going to be saying on our deathbed. Legacy board is kind of like, hey, this is >> if you wanted to say you set your own entrance exam to to to your next life or to heaven or you know like uh Hina shared another exercise she did is you're 90 years old and you're introducing yourself and you're proud with what you're introducing yourself cuz you've you've not left things till later realizing now I'm 90 and I haven't done them. Right? So that's kind of what your legacy legacy board or legacy write up will be. So that's something that you can all share uh on on WhatsApp. Um we might have time on the next session to go over it, but we're now going to go into some very practical exercises for the mountain that we're going to be using on the mountain. And uh we want to make sure uh that we do that. So life happening to you is kind of what you've heard. Now on the mountain, we're going to go in through various mental and emotional states. Now we have how many people on that are going to be on the mountain? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. We have eight people on today. I do hope a number of people will be listening to this today uh on recording. The others that are not on today and it's very important as well for um parents, you're there with kids.

05 Um, those of you that might have some injury, those of you that might have not done enough preparation, those of you that might have had uh something unexpected in your family happen, uh, an event, travel, a life event, maybe caring for somebody, losing somebody. Uh, the first stage is life happening to you. And most of us set off for this mountain from there. I do want to share with you right now. I do want to share with you guys right now. um we're going to confirm it on the chat, but there are two people that are in communication with us that are likely going to withdraw or transfer from this one, right? Uh two of them both happen to be in the Middle East. The Middle East, as you know, they're basically in in UAE.

48 Uh the UAE right now is going through what it's going through. So you can imagine where we are in the parts of the world that we're in. The way the world and the planet occurs to people right now living in GCC would be very different to where we are where there is peace, there is calm, you can go outside, you can walk freely versus say we're here and we're hearing um you know fighter jets flying overhead or um debris falling from the sky or seeing a hotel around the corner from you going on fire. That's what's happened to certain people. that's um impacted them in some way or shape or form around their ability to participate or family has real concern for them. maybe they're not so impacted but their family has concern and saying look you're not going these are unsafe times while where we're going to is very safe while so far passenger flights out of GCC have been okay right um going out yes there have been cancellations and uncertainty and yet the event that we're doing is far away it's not happening right now they don't need to leave right now it's still uh 3 4 months away life is happening for me meaning the eventual event that's coming to you, the preparation you need to do, the training you need to do. Even the comment that uh say Hina got like um you know my younger brother, he knows he knows exactly where my trigger buttons are. He has the capacity and ability to say stuff to me that would derail me, that will trigger me, that will get me angered, right? And I probably I not probably I also have the same uh for my brothers, right? I know where if I say something it would trigger them, right?

25 They have that ability to do that to me. Now, I can either get triggered by it, which is still life happening to me. Or I can shift the script, which is, you know, if that's what you think, I'm going to train harder. I'm going to prepare more. I'm going to really work on my fitness. I'm going to transform my body composition. And you put in more practice going over and beyond your training hikes. I want to say this to everybody. If your training hikes have adverse weather, have really steep inclines, have very crazy downhills and you get a lot of knee pain, have long nights maybe where you're fatigued or returning late at night, uh you have uncomfortable sleep if you're sleeping outdoors, uh camping somewhere, the adversity we experience in the training makes the mountain easier. And there was one year in particular, I remember, where every practice hike we had in the UK, I think four out of five or or five out of six of them were all we did one in a storm. There was rain, there were storms, there was just crazy weather. And the harder the prep was, people started to say, "Wow, this is Killy's going to be like this but hard."

31 But not actually Kelly that particular year had very good weather but the going through the adversity really prepared them for the mountain because they flipped something happening to them to something happening for them. The third tier of leadership is life is happening through me. Right? This is where who you become. So if Hina talks of that 90-year-old or if I'm saying um you know I experienced Kilimanjaro guys for me it was life transforming. The moment I started to come down, I was very emotional and I was in tears when I saw the beautiful skies and cloud cover ahead and I saw people walking into the skies disappearing. And the first thought that came to mind is I really would love my dad and my family to do this. Like what have I done to deserve that? I get to go from the UK to the country neighboring neighboring where all my family are in Zambia and they can't access this beauty. They don't go and see this stuff. They don't do such things. I would love them to come and see this beautiful mountain. And I've been able to get my brother to do the mountain twice. I've had my uh dad come up the mountain. Um I've had him and my mom go on safari after the mountain. Um these are things happening through me because I stood for something. I'm not saying that in a egotistical manner, but if I didn't stand for something, if I didn't invite them to interrupt their life, they might never have. And most of our the history of our holidays in our family has always been one of indulgence. Beautiful hotel, comfort, you know, nice sort of Airbnb apartment to stay at. Eating out is what a holiday was defined as. Which restaurants did you go to? Where did you eat? It was all about that. That was the definition of a holiday. It was always often connected to the lovely food and places we stayed at and the the treats that we had. Uh and the fourth tier of the leadership uh pyramid is life is happening as me. And uh ASME is as an example uh Hans Meyer who you will all learn about is basically the first German person the first person to summit uh Mount Kilimanjaro and his guide was a guy called Luo and they summited this on their third attempt right and so um they started in 1818 and it took about a year or two or two years before they were able to summit right on one point it was adverse further the other point his mate that he went up with had some bad feeling or felt really sick they had to turn down and finally ultimately on their third attempt up the mountain they were able to get to the highest point in Africa and they've created this pathway to the top they created an approach and strategy to get up this mountain that now multiple thousands of mountain guides thousands of um you know porters have an income and livelihood going up this mountain and it was also uh very famous meeting that happened when postc colonialism and there was uh some particular meeting where they're drawing the borders and at some point they were doing the straight line and there's mount kilimanjaro there and somebody decided to say we'll we'll get this borderline go up into Kenya and around it and that decision to put Tanzania into uh Mount Kilimanjaro into the Tanzanian side at that point was not even a touristic thing completely has changed the fate and the GDP of this country simply by where that line got drawn and put uh Kilimanjaro into Tanzania. So really uh and that's an example of life happening as me that somebody created a pathway to the top and it's a pathway to the top has led to employment, GDP, economy and all of us as tourists go there and this becomes a bucket list item. So um whatever you're creating in life, maybe your standards for animals, maybe you love animal welfare or care. You know, last year we we lost uh was it last year or this year? Somebody will remember who's the lady that passed away that was very uh passionate about animal care. She did a lot of work in Kenya and >> no good. Uh Jane Goodall.

37 >> Yeah. So Jane Goodall right now. That's her legacy. That's her brand and her mission. It outlives her and she went and started in a very male dominant space and industry when she started. and looking at her life journey is an example of what each of us want to think about. What's going to give you that character that's going to make you be that person? What is you know kids or youth or school in Kitali um going to be different because Serge and Devi did something or went out there and created uh you know fundraising thing that Sel has created for that particular school. Who knows what and how much of a shift transformation to that school could happen that somebody from there gets to go one day and ends up in Ivy League University or Harvard or successful in an entrepreneurial career because of the basic education that started from there. So that's about creating a brand and a mission that outlives you. So um stand in the future visually visualize yourself already there in fact beyond there and then work backwards visualizing the steps that get you there. So what I want us to write we're going to do this as an assignment where I want you to do that what I would love to have in my legacy and I invite you guys to not hold back here because something that comes up for certain people is uh will people judge me? Will they laugh at me? um or in my case some of you know me for a long time you've heard me talk about some of my aspirations and I haven't done them right so would I be having some judgment thinking oh ABCD on this call you guys know me you've been hearing me talk about that I've done no action about that right so sometimes being told or being stopped by what other people will think what's called faux fear of other people's opinions could be an an inhibitor from us continuing to voice that particular goal because we think but I keep quiet about it and when I do it then I'll talk about it. Now it's important there's also a space and place where we don't share publicly. But when you share with people that are also committed to your goal, that's the safe space to share. So what I invite each of you to consider that you all are on this journey up this mountain also with people who are going up this mountain that have big hopes, big aspirations, big dream, big vision.

01 And on the seventh day on the mountain, guys, we're going to have what's called declaration day. This is the day that we're coming down the mountain. And all you have to do, we say this, that the mountain listens. And what you have to do is on your way down, you might find yourself buddied with somebody, partnered with somebody. It's not going to be preset, but you'll find as you're coming down the mountain, there's someone alongside you. So, we ask you to share at least three things that you'll achieve or accomplish a year from that point, right? So, a year from that particular date or a year after the summit date, which in this instance will be the 16th of uh July. 16th of July is our summit day. So you'll be saying 16th July 2027 uh I would have accomplished the following right so that's something you'll be doing on the mountain but I want you to draft that now I I want you to draft your legacy or your vision now and share that on the chat okay so that will be part of uh the the assignment um that said yeah so that's assignment announcement so prepare your legacy board which is either you can do it as a visual by the way some people do it as a visual um like a vision board but I often say legacy board is a bit bigger in that you're pushing extremes in your imagination um and legacy is also what people will say about you what how their life will be different because you lived right so think about when you're doing a the visuals of it think of the lives that are the beneficiaries of what you created right so my legacy is not going to be the car that I bought nobody's going to talk about the man that owned the the Rolls-Royce But there there's going to be 150 people or 200 people or thousand people that will say we got to the roof of Africa because of this guy, right? Or I got off medication, you know, uh and I've been 10 years free of medication because of this guy, right? So your legacy is what you leave others with. Uh secondly, this is again something for you to do before you come up the mountain. We won't necessarily um push you for this. You don't need to share this or anything, but of course um uh one of the exercises that we need to do is to prepare get your fees in order, prepare a will or draft the will. It could be a write up.

13 It could be that you go through the full legal process if you've not done that. We have had people do this. It could be that you also document your assets. So you write out what you've got. Okay. Okay. You you list out, you know, might be on a Google sheet or it might be on a wherever. and you basically list out what you have or hand over notes um which hey in case something happens to me on this Google sheet on this drive here is the link uh the password to access it is with so and so person and you can tell that person that you only share that password with this person uh if I go and they'll access your document or whatever it is and do that but if you're fine just giving it away right now you can go ahead and give that away whether it's um if there are any things that you keep yourself from you know your uh passcode on your phone to any online email passwords to things like your pension details, your insurance details, etc., etc. Um, and then uh on the mountain, we're looking for two groups of leaders. So, this is where we're looking for volunteers and who would like to raise their hand to be part of which. Number one is going to be the charity fundraising. So, your job with the charity fundraising is basically setting up the fundraising page, right?

29 So we'll give you the link and the write up of the prior years. Uh you got to roll that forward. Um you got to update things like how many people are going. These are the dates that we're going there. The money that we fund raise for the dev center is X. Uh I mentioned earlier and I I I do it'll be great if anyone is really keen on this to send that message on the chat which is if you want to and I say this because we have a number of ex Zambians here. um also create something then we will do a fundraiser where we're fundraising for two projects. It might be we use one fundraising link uh and split the funds in a predetermined ratio that we determine uh or we create two separate links. So those that want to contribute to the Zambia project, we have one fundraising link and those that want to contribute to the death center that we go to, you could also contribute there.

17 Um and then the second one is um you know who is going to be the tipping person dealing with the tipping. Normally with the size that we have I recommend we have three people who are going to sort out the tipping. Uh and for the charity fundraising one or two people is sufficient for that. Um so who would like to um volunteer to be in taking up one of those roles? >> Hey Ronnie. Um I think I already mentioned this to you. I'd like to like to volunteer myself with a tipping one please if that's okay. Okay. Yep. All right. Awesome. So, definitely for tipping we'll have Nikesh uh Beige. What would you like to help with?

54 >> I'm happy to help with the charity fundraising. >> Okay. Awesome. And I think you're you're very right and up for that. Um anybody else want to be part of any team? Of course, we're going to share this on the chat now. So, I'll say Nikesh will be leading the tipping and I would want uh at least two more people to join Nikesh. And then for Beige, the charity fundraising. Uh so Hina will also help with the ticket tipping. Okay. So we need one more for the tipping team. And for Beige as well, maybe one more to to help with the charity cuz the charity fundraising other than doing the write up. Um and then you can also work with our marketing team if you want to create social media content. Uh and regularly promoting it, then the rest of us will be using that write up to post on our own social media. And obviously you can tweak and edit as you want, forward it on WhatsApp. So things like recommended messages to send your friends and family that are um part of it.

51 Okay, cool. So I am going to um we are uh this is our fourth prep webinar. Um we're going to uh just stop sharing now. But I do want to share that something that we're going to look at uh in the next sessions. uh really want you to be there. Actually, it' be great if we can get somebody come on just to share their uh their legacy board. And then what we're going to also look at is uh we're going to look at uh the human body. We're going to learn a little bit about nutrition. We're going to look at the human body and the human mind and how it can manage adversity. And while we look at how it will manage adversity, we are going to look at a certain practice uh specifically to be used on the mountain and for all of us to practice on our practice hikes uh at home. And this is going to be looking at uh breath work. So we're going to be doing some specific type of breath work that makes a world of a difference on the mountain. And also in the mountain there'll be somebody that um well there'll be a number of people who are responsible for queuing the rest of the team to a hydrate b do their their breath work every so often. So the way the team is going to support the team is we have a code word on the mountain. In the past it's been something that um uh the guides and porters use which is sippy sippy, right? So uh if they remind you take a sip they say sippy sippy. And uh there was a little funny twist to that last last year, but uh I I'll leave that story for off record. And uh and you might have a keyword that you say.

32 Um so maybe like every time somebody says, "Oh, wow." or "That's beautiful." Or um uh how much further do we have to go is a cue for you to drink water or do your breath work. So we're going to have people in the team, especially you. Think about how we're spread out. We're going to be 30 something. We're going to introduce there when we get there. um two or three smaller groups. It might be two, it might be three. Uh where you know people will just be checking in on you and if you need any support who to go to within the team. Uh and if that support leader is struggling with something uh you come to me or which guide to go to. So we will have sessions where we get to meet the guides. we will have sessions that we um get to uh deal with um uh anyone struggling with something, how to re-empower them, how to get them fit, how to medicate them, etc. So, we'll be looking that uh at that later. Um cool. We're going to stop there. Today's session is more or less done. Uh any questions? Anyone have any burning questions around their training, their preparation for the mountain? Or anyone have any concern that you want to share by getting it out the way?

40 questions or concerns. >> Aby, did you go for a for a walk or hike this morning? >> That is happening tomorrow. Uh, our morning walk around Rickmansworth Aquedrome. For any anybody in the herd, you're more than welcome to join us from 7 to 8:00 a.m. >> Awesome. Um, yeah, just please do share it on the Killy chat. I know there's I mean you you're only um those in the UK are available there. Um might as well show it on the UK chat uh TX chat if anybody wants to join and meet and network. Um any other questions?

21 >> Okay. If none we are going to sorry is that a question? >> All right cool. We're going to wrap up guys. Thanks all uh thanks all for being on and we will see you at the next session. Once again, sorry about the time change. Um, I had a logistics uh challenge yesterday getting back home and I needed to get back home to be with the kids while I'm away. Um, so uh we will have the next session on the date that is communicated on the chat. I do know a number of Saturdays people are doing hikes. If there is a clash with that date guys, do let me know early and if for whatever reason uh Sunday works better. I mean, we've had not too bad turnout today, but we will otherwise be sticking to to the Saturday times. All right, guys. On that note, it's a wrap.

07 And bye for now, and we'll see you at the next call. Bye guys.
