0:00 Now, what happens in autism is that the first milestone is missing. Like I said, the child is not focused on humans. So, all this development which is driven by engagement with humans cannot happen. Hence, he does not have good eye contact. He does not respond to name call. He does not know how to behave when if he likes running to the door, he'll keep running to the door whether the bell rings or doesn't ring. You call it hyperactive. He'll keep pulling out toys, objects because he likes objects.
0:24 You say it's hyperactive. Thereafter, he will not develop nonverbal communication. So, he won't learn pointing or gestures. And that's why he will never learn speech because the earlier milestones have not developed. And that's the problem with reading and writing as well. The other sinister part that's happening in autism is he's too involved with objects. Unlike the child who's learning from humans, human behavior kab kya karna hai, kab nahi karna hai, he doesn't learn that. What people want or how humans behave. But from objects, what you learn is pattern copy. Because the fan moves in a particular pattern, the switch moves in a particular pattern, a mobile, a laptop moves in a particular pattern. So, this child becomes a pattern ustad or a pattern master.
