1:07 now I'm not trying to scare you and because doesn't mean you're going to experience this but it does happen where men have a change in hormones or they they actually experience some physical pain or even depression so this kuvasz syndrome is also referred to as pregnant dad for the purpose of this video we're gonna focus on the weight gain and your health so here are some first-time dad tips to avoid that sympathy weight and to stay healthy
1:36 first get plenty of sleep now the body needs rest and people are gonna tell you hey you better sleep now because when the baby comes you're not gonna get any sleep and sometimes that's true but it doesn't matter it's important to get good sleep before and after the baby is born just get plenty of sleep instead of watching TV at night or we're going out just get some extra sleep it's going to be good for your body
2:07 and guess what if you're a late-night eater then it helps you avoid eating next avoid sugar honestly sugar is evil now I know stuff tastes really good when it has a lot of sugar but you can find alternatives if you can remove or at least reduce your sugar intake you're going to see those effects on your body you're going to look better and feel better another first-time dad tip get moving if your wife is willing and able to go for walks
2:39 during her pregnancy that's awesome it's a great way to get outside even have a good conversation while you're walking if you like to play sports then join a team and do that you don't have to run marathons or do intense cardio workouts although if you do that's fine but you just got to get moving it's a great way to burn calories and avoid that dad bod next lift weights personally this is my favorite lifting
3:10 weights can help reduce stress and anxiety and boost your hormones which can improve your mood and help you feel strong for me my favorite time of the day is right after a weight workout it's an incredible feeling now I know not everybody loves to lift weights or loves to go to a gym but there's plenty of home workouts you can do just to increase your strength another tip drink water if you're drinking sodas or some of those other
3:39 sugary drinks you're gonna want to stop and drink more water if you have to have carbonation try one of those flavored soda waters that have no sugar it's going to be better for you and your body will thank you also try reducing your alcohol intake as alcoholic beverages have a lot of extra calories setting these healthy habits now before the baby is born is going to help you once the baby arrives you're going to want to stay healthy for you
