Owning the Life You Chose as a Parent

0:00 I think um owning the life that you've chosen is very empowering because you start to realize that uh every single life path has its rough edges and challenges and growth opportunities and these are ours and they're good. They're great ones. They're awesome. It's fine. We can do it. It's worth it. Um, but don't I guess don't sink into some you know I just see all these women on the Tik Toks with the mental load lists and it's like yes honey yes darling yes that is what being a mom and running a home is like or being a dad or being a parent or it's just it's it's not very interesting to uh con it's not interesting but it's also not very helpful to yourself to constantly lament uh you know the maybe the difficulties that yeah that are part of the job. That's part of the job. That's okay. That's why it's not for the weak of heart. That's why it's inspiring. That's why being a mom is uh the greatest project of my life. That's why parenting is meaningful. Meaningful things involve challenge and difficulty and struggle. There is no no none zero achievements on this planet that people look up to and admire that took no effort or struggle. That doesn't exist.
